I guess not, seeing as I interviewed them on 4 separate occassions for a free press magazine, and have spent a large amount of time hanging out with them in pubs n' back stage
Mate, I've been a big part of the local metal scene here for the last 20 odd years. I've put on gigs, funded cd releases for upcoming local bands and much more.
I have a very in-depth knowledge of the scene and find it funny you are trying to make me seem like a fool.
I'm sorry mate, but Burzum is a self confirmed murdering neo-Nazi. I don't really care what people do behind closed doors, but when you put it out there like Burzum does you have to expect some people will not like it.

there is a great amount of people wearing swastikas , iron crosses , totenkompfs with out being National Socialists...especially lady gaga fans and some justin bieber ones but they are more into strasserism

First of all, I was raised on the first four Sabbath albums, so they are my musical roots (along with funk music in the 70s)
Slayer early years
Voivod! one of the best bands ever. The first album was epic!
so many others in the 80s. Metal Blade Records kicked ass

^ I had a bootlegged copy of the demo for Peace Sells on a cassette tape back in the day and that thing was in heavy rotation in my car back then. The demo sounds so much more raw and brutal than the album. Later saw them on tour for that album. Kick ass show. Mustaine is the shizz

well, i didn't listen much to metal. it was a very short period in my life. a little bit of metallica, kreator etc. but the only band that i had several albums of was anthrax.
i've listened more to grunge, alternative, progressive and later to stoner rock...
the number one band of those for me is kyuss
but tool hits the spot nicely too

Kyuss Blues rocks. Guitar tuned down, played through a Fender Bassman amp... love that sound.
For that low and heavy stripped down metal sound I was really into the Melvins

Sabbath, since it has a lot of musical innovations back in the 70's.
Dream theater cuase well they are all great players and composers.
But the overall best metal band is TOOL!!!!: psychedelic, virtuous players, excellent composers, innovative and great lyrics.
