Psy-less US states...correct me if I'm wrong...

Alaska, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming.

To my knowledge, every other state has/had at least one crew producing psytrance events, or at least one dj who plays psytrance at mixed genre events on a semi regular basis...

....looks like we'll be sending Billy to the Dakotas

A friend and I got into Goa and started playing it out in Oklahoma in 95/96. There was an all-Goa party there a couple years later. Not sure what's going on there these days, though. There's certainly not much of a "psytrance scene," that's for sure. My guess would be that most of the psytrance fans in Okie-land go to the Esoteric Generation parties in Arkansas.

I've seen old flyers from South Dakota raves with psytrance DJs on them.. been a while though.

Also there's a bit of psy in Utah as well. Though probably far from a 'scene.'

i have seen a video like an year back, of cops busting a huge open air in utah.. thought the scene is pretty huge there!!!           We meditate upon the Spiritual Effulgence of That Adorable Supreme Divine Reality, the Source of the Physical, the Astral, and the Heavenly Spheres of Existence. There's a sweet and ever-growing scene in Portland ORegon as well. The last two sets I saw Ghreg on Earth play (since the new year) were mind-blowingly amazing...I haven't heard too much of his older stuff, and not too into industrial...but holy shit he blew my brain up and my body with his new stuff...super dark & bangin....very sweet           I honor that place in you where the whole Universe resides. And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is only one of us.

Lauryn, you almost forgot about Alabama, Nebraska and Ohio where you can find billboards in every miles of the street says "'esus Watching You"           there is no such big bang, everything is the center of expansion

As for Alabama...there's at least people who listen to psy there....and enough of them to start a tribe on tribe.net -> http://tribes.tribe.net/psybama

There's someone in Nebraska as well....tho I can't remember WHO at the moment.....           ~gOa ist nicht nur musik sondern auch eine lebenseinstellung~

jeez.....thanks Nik

It wasn't too uncommon to hear Total Eclipse, Juno Reactor or something off of the TIP yellow comp alongside Autechre, Pop Will Eat Itself, Front Line Assembly and Banco De Gaia in my "industrial" club residencies back then. Finding the stuff was a major pain the arse back then, I remember.

haha....and I was always envious of yours and Tim's Goa record collections..... Good Stuff!

Anyway, I suspect most everyone who got bit with the psy meme has since left the dust bowl for greener pastures.
