Japan (because of the Yakuza).

any chance you could elaborate on that or point me in the direction of a link/thread to read?

thanks.

I think the demise of Psy in Japan had more to do with the demise of Mushrooms than the Yakuza.

Well according to the artists opinion who played there all the time the local mafia there played a major role in the decline of the psy trance events, its a big conversation and i dont think it belongs in a public forum.

After all its the same situation in Mexico and Brazil no?           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I personally know an artist who was threatened by yakuza , simply out of misunderstanding, he had to apologize a lot in order to leave with his head still on his shoulders ...cool story though

In mexico the problem is that drug gangs extortion organizers, so it has become expensive and risky.

Also in some parts a member from a drug gang wants to organize parties, they have the money afterall, and they drive out competition with violence.

So right now only in Mexico city and Guadalajara there are some parties, but the overall number is in decline.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

India > Bombay

The vibe here is gone. From having outdoors every weekend since 2000 and before. From 2005 its gotten worse, there are hardly any parties except in a few clubs and they are mostly for "full-on" lovers.

Now, for outdoors you have to do privately only with some select friends. This is thanks to strict authorities and their war on trance.

but we cant ignore that we lost most of our big festivals...

startin with the randoms and legendaries one from daime tribe, solaris festival, the 4 days of earth dance, trancendance and tranceformation..even fora do tempo that never been so big and wasnt from the old times but it was very beautiful....

all that s left s universo paralelo...

and we needin more dark lovers as well...so maybe one day we can have dark festivals like in europe
