Which artist you think made the biggest influence on the scene today ? I think this is a matter of self opinon.
for me, it's X-Dream, Hallucinogen, Atmos, Shiva Chandra, Transwave, The Muses Rapt, Cydonia and Quirk.
one would say this is not a matter of an opinon, but what the heck |

Hallucinogen. Just hear the music before Twisted and after. That was a revolution in sound, in concept, in everything
Second place goes to Tim Schuldt. With all due respect to GMS, this guy is the reason people became addicted to full-on insanity.
... in third place, I'd put Eyal Barkan. Don't hate me guys, but he actually gave the modern full-on style a lot.
in fourth place there are way too many.

Eyal Barkan gave the melodies that i think some artists still using his influence (Astrix for example).
Also Astral Projection had a something to say.

For me the artists that most contributed the scene and everything i love in it are:
Simon Posford, without him this music would be dead for years by now.
Raja Ram, everything he touches turns to gold.
Erez and Amit Infected, the guys that brought the soul and the love back to this music. And also the everchanging sound that surprise us every time.
Avi Algranati, the first Space Cat album is, was and will be an important milestone in the Trance music, and a great example of how the things should be done soundwise.
Riktam and Banzi, the guys that bring the fun, i know a lot of ppl don't like them, but you can't ignore their sense of groove.
And the Swedish Dennis Tapper, the man who'se skills of mindgame gave Trance a new meanning.
Hop i didn't forget anything.
Hope that i didn't skipped no one.
Everyone in the world is doing something without me |

X-Dream & Atmos. Before they came along, all you had was Melodic Trance (Astral, MFG, SFX...), and Nitzhonot. Then X-dream & atmos came and introduced us to progressive psytrance. Just listen to the latest german & scando releases (Ticon, Son kite, Shaman, Alegria), and you will see that they are greatly influenced by Amtos and X-dreams's early music...

Actually, Infected Mushroom had made real influence on the scene both with thier first album and Classical Mushrooms which gave us something totally new from anything we have heard at those times.
Let's not forget the legendary Koxbox, and also 3.Turn / Authentik. |

for me Tarsis is the most of the most once.
for objective comforming i choosed what i choosed, for subjective reason i would add Tarsis as all times number one revolutioner.
Linnus Wessel and Sebastian Kruger is great duo that not less great as individuals. their always progressive direction with hard deep tuchs were and is best psychedelic trance for me. as all time favorite album i always say - Melt. but for truth everything they tuch is bloody brilliant. Tarsis,Deep,SBK,Sphere, Bushbumper, G-Lock is a amazing music makers. my most lovely trak is a zombi cocktail ofcourse and their ambient trax is a complitelly different story, story about pure feeling and high emotinal levels.

umm, i'm not sure about the xdream part of this munchie my man, i mean xdream had a track on flying rhino first flght after all, this was not prog and it was early (ish). further not all pre '97 stuff was melodic, check early dragonfly comps (eg project II trance, order odonata) for confirmation, this was just psychedelic, the melodic stuff appeared (to me at least) to be a slightly later developement out of israel and th early german scene (sven vath / cosmic baby)
anyway, my vote in this conversation probably goes to the atmos, for me this signified a big change in the direction of the music, of course my perception of this may be coloured by distribution / record deals and what parties i went to in 1999
