I like to think that I dip my trunk into the tune-pool from time to time. Check out "Aspect Overturn" that came out yesterday on with release:

Derango for me is not melodic in the traditional sense, but like a lot of quality forest and dark psy you need to search to find the groove and melody amongst the FX etc.
I really enjoyed there tracks on this last year http://www.discogs.com/Various-Conundrum-Concoction/release/3533271 and hope they might put out an entire album of this style or a story theme with a mix of both

conundrum concoction is really good. I wish more darkpsy people would do that instead of the fast bpm thing.
Terrafractyl showed it to me last time he was around the states - can't remember if he said it first or I did, but we came to the conclusion that if you wanted to describe it....you couldn't go wrong with "Evil Ott"

Making good melodies and having nice harmony is quite hard, that's why there is so little.

+1 damn right, that is the reason. Also it's lots of harder to achieve a good constructed melody that sounds psychedelic, than a nice punching kick and bass with nice sound design in between and tons of effects.
