AHHH, I see the problem here, but then I bet all of you who say we should have a support trance party, dont really know what can happen to the trance scene if police let everything go through.

Look at Japan right now, since there is no police regulation of trance parties, we have parties popping up every where. Calling the wrong crowd, the wrong organizers, and bringing wrong vibes!!!
Organizers over here fight over, the rights to an artist, and if nothing goes well they send in a couple young mafia boys to start a fight at the party(and no police will be stopping the fights). The trance scene is so mainstream now that, you can see Sun Project and other parties on a regular TV commercial!!! What the heck is wrong with that?!!
If we had some police regulation here we would have still been able to keep our trance scene underground and alive with good vibes.
Now its just all about money, drugs and commercialism! It sucks!
I am sure all of you would not want something like that happen to your trance scene!

We should have WEEKLY parties (errr, demonstrations), on the parliament lawn. Become yet another sector that will get media coverage one way or the other.

Then again, organizing something like that will be really hard.

The "soul" of the party (for me and for a lot of others) is having good and ineresting time and experiences with others (!plur !). This is very far (as far as you can get) from being against something or demonstrating aginst something.

I think that it will be a shame if because of the police we will change the spirit of our parties and of our comunity into something more militant, that we will start to be "against" things, or that we will "fight" for our rights etc..

I believe that trance has to stay loyal to its own values, and to its own way of doing things (demonstration against something, even if you play trance and there are people dancing, is not part of this culture to me; its exactly the opposite)

The police cannot break the trance community. The future of trance in general, and of trance parties in Israel in particular, will be determined by evolutionary process. If the police is closing 200 people parties, then instead of 5 parties with 200 ppl each weekend, we will have 50 parties of 20 people, and for the big sound systems outdoor festivals, we always have Europe not far away.

Trance will not be damaged because of any police. Trance will be hurt if it will lose its basic spirit and that can happen if we will get too stressed about the police in a way that being against it (or any other thing) will become our main motivation to do things.

welll i have 2 things 2 say...
1. People, y did u look only on the drug issue? as i said, there r lots of ilegal factors in trance parties...
what would u say if 4 example when u r abroad some people break in 2 your house and orgenize a party there? and when u'll come back u'll c nth but tons of garbage? think about it, trance parties r ilegal not just because of the fact that people there u se drugs, cause these days people use drugs everywhere! i am talkin about the other factors!
2. Hikari got a point there. I bet that at least 40% of the people here go 2 trance parties cause they know that they r underground, they know that the parties will have a special vibe and they think and feel that the trance scene here in israel have a special "thing" cause its unique, underground and perhaps its even cool and exciting 2 know that u r going 2 party that is ilegal and that u r breakin' the law and u feel cool.... i dunno, thats what i feel... i think that legalizing and comercializing the trance scene in israel will simply destroy its uniquness and this so called "community" will vanish........

guy, its true all that stuff about the parties not being legal.
but the ONLY reason the police hunts parties are the drugs.
no any other reason.
thats a fact.
and thats our problem.
and again there is nothing we can do about it...
yada yada yada...

excuse me 4 butting in on your small coversation, but i believe that the MAIN reason police r heating up their party rampage is because of the war going on here.
when israel was in the "we'r gonna have peace", the mood around the country was so high that people had the time and the joy 2 think if 2 smoke skunk or purple haze,no fear of bombing or shooting or ect...
the police was all the sudden friendly, if they saw u with a joint they look at u with a parently eyes and asked u 2 throw it away and nothing more.

today, we r at war, and the police are much more harsh and the outcomes reflects also with their attitude towards anything illegal including parties.

well dear Jako i totally disagree with u..
when the country is in mood 4 peace then it's time 4 love and progress, a tolerance attitude towards drugs is shown in the more developed countries... drugs can b discussed in a society level because everything else is ticking.
when a country is in war, all resources r pointed in the directions of militry use, living fewer 4 progress.
also when in war, the country expect the citizens 2 behave in a more strict way, to obey the law in a more precise way, they will inforce it better and as a respond 2 a violation of the law will act with a severe punishment.           The Only True Freedom is Freedom From the Heart Desire

we have problems here because this is a DARK palce to live.
the war should even do the opposite...
make the cops do more about security then chase trance parties...
but thats not the case here cause the whole country is ignorent and stupid.
but i agree with 1 point:
if we will have peace we will have time to focus on the more important stuff.
and then we will have the first stoner in the govermant (hopefully).
im talking about "ale yarok".

Well I can imagine that the goverment don't want their future (and present) soldiers running around on acid all day do they?
People start doing drugs and going to parties and then they realize that maybe going to fight isn't really the thing that they want to do most.
How many trance people do you know that evaded or quit the army somehow? I am one of them BTW>           Both teams played hard
