unfortunatelly i don´t see anything happening here to change this actual situation..
just see the Tribe party and make your conclusions..
i will tell you what i still believe.. Natural Selection..
i really hope that people who really feel love about trance, get united, could even be small groups in every place of the country, and then, make small parties for selected people.
That´s the only way we could enjoy a party again without being bothered by those freaky people showing themselves and making tons of money.
I´ve been to 4 universo paralello´s festivals, and i´ve seen the scene even in big festivals getting worse and worse...
This is not a case of despise my nationality, it´s just the reality nude and cruel.
too much for me..           Dead Tree Productions

I agree in part with what you are saying. But don`t forget Brazil is a huuuuuuuuuuuuge country people.
I've been digging the psychedelic scene in southern brazil for some years now. And i can say there is still hope...
See, I would never ever in my life go to a party in Sao Paolo because anyone knows whats going on there, as you have said. People are only worried with drugs and having a great party time, despite it is psy or baile funk. People worship baaaad psychedelic music (Skazi fo ex.). Every once in a while i check some forums an sites from the southeast part of the country and i get very sad...
Anyway, i think there is some decent psychedelic movement going on on the central part of the country (Goiás and Brasilia, for example), with communities and several local rootsy live acts. And where i Live, in the extreme South (Rio Grande do Sul), things still kinda pure. YOu can find some nice medium sized parties (700-1000) with psychedelic soul (nice music, decent live acts from all across the globe, excelent chill outs and locations), that last for the weekend. PEople go an camp and have a great time, discuss important things and everything. I don't need to say that they all happen in very special landscapes. We also have some little coooooool festivals, something very precious. One of the main advantages is that the people who conducted the scene already knew the shit that was going on in the rest of the country, so they did their best to avoid some of those bad aspects (for example: never bringing Skazi or GMs to play here, hahahaha). We still have some major (5.000 people) very comercial events, but thats only once or twice a year.
Who knows what the future wil show...

I think the problem in Brasil and in all the world right now are 2 problems.

1. The Dj / Producers are full of shit and ego and they do not know nothing about Trance.

2. The people go for drugs not music.

Now problem one is the major problem cause it is transmitting energy to the mass, and its transmitting bad ego energy so it attracts exactly that kind of mass. So to solve this problem you got to make music, make music from the hearth and soul as if you want to create a heaven, this alone speaks by itself and will even change people in the crowd to Trancers. The people will by time become trancers if the music is good. So at the end it's all in the music! When i was there we played in some parties in Bahia but it was far away from Trance but some people in the crowd really loved the music and we played for them. I never lose hope maybe the scene is too big now but as you are saying underground parties are cool and you can play the very best music to go on a voyage!

Bom
