What is the best location you've partied at?

seems like this is probably already a thread, but i didn't find anything when i searched.
So, what's the best place to party? Beaches of Goa? Deserts of Israel? Bamboo forests of Asia? i haven't been to any exotic locations or desert massives, only northeast US and Canada. thus far, the party i went to outside in Canada was amazing, but i always fantasize of partying all over the globe. i also once heard a rumor about a psy party that was in a volcano (anyone know what i'm talking about?), but it could have just been bullshit. anyway, i wanna hear all about amazing psy party locations so i can plan for the future  |

best location for me is the desert of Icamole, Mexico... Truly a psychedelic experience and place. Icamole is a desert town about an hour outside of Monterrey, Mexico(which is also a very psychedelic city with the sun tower and the calendars in the city square, plus all of the mountains surrounding the area). It is insane getting to the parties out their... We took a bus to Monterrey and took a cab to the party. In the cab ride, the cab driver really didn't know where Icamole was but he knew the direction it was in. So, we stop in a town called Villa de Garcia at a gas station and he gets directions and gas to Icamole, this little desert town with maybe 400-500 people in it... The bars out there were basically picket fences with tarps and cerveza signs out front. So, we get thru Icamole and see a small sign with the word psycho written on it and an arrow down this desolate dirt road. Luckily our cab driver was a man of adventure, so he starts bookin it down the dirt road. We pass a graveyard and then go about ten miles seeing absolutely nothing... Then, another graveyard... Then about 15 more miles of desert and we get to the entrance of the party and the cab driver drops us off(it is a 4000-5000(40-50 usd) peso cab ride from Monterrey to Icamole) pretty far out there... The entrance to the party was about a half mile walk from the stage, so we venture through this beautiful desert(we got there early, probably about 7 pm. The cacti everywhere around this place are incredible... I've never seen a desert with so many vibrant blooms. The party location is surrounded by huge mountains in every direction but one, I believe Northeast, because I remember the sunrise creeping up over the mountain and into the opening of sky. There is a train track about 10 yards behind the mainstage and the train passes at night and in the morning... VERY SURREAL when the train passes! As far as the party we saw out there, for my tastes it could have been a better line-up... I thought that the Mexican dj Grish played the best set out there by far, his mixing really got me going and he played darker stuff every now and then... It was a Chemical Crew tour party, so the Chemical Crew sound took over the morning, but the night was pure madness!
One of the coolest things about the crowd was he way the parties mood shifted from the front of the stage to the back of the party, which ended up being scattered all the way to the back of the property, a half mile of tents and awesome freaks, it was like a psychedelic circus in the back, when you went to the front dance fllor, the Mexican crowd is pretty agressive when it comes to stomping which is right up my alley... They pump their fists and scream and punch the ground.. They are very fun to rock with... |

I haven't gone too far afield... sure there have been some nice events in the countryside here but I wouldn't single them out to anyone who wasn't there - what can you tell about lush green hills with a little lake? No, I'd say the coolest location was under the Bloor Viaduct here in Toronto... this is a bridge that spans the Don River Valley to the east of downtown, with several lanes of traffic on top and a trestle for the subway hanging underneath. It also happens to be the most notorious site for suicide in the city - people who want to off themselves have a habit of leaping from this particular bridge, so much so that the city put up a plastic shield along the exposed portions of the walkway. Below this bridge curves the Don Valley Parkway, a huge curving highway that just happened to be closed the night of the party. To get there... you had to head out to a corner nearby to the local subway stop, find the people with the green bandana, and get led down the highway onramps, across the six lanes of asphalt barren in the moonlight (an eerie premonition) down through the shrubby embankment and along a path to a site directly beneath one of the big structural supports of the bridge. Here was setup one of Toronto's most celebrated artifacts of the underground party scene here - the YURT! It was one of the first showings of the structure, a round interleaved wooden cylinder with supports leading up to a roof maybe 15 to 20 feet off the ground, with a heater in the center. Here was the location for what was known as the End of the World Party "in our Yurt!" All night long the music was being trainwrecked  by the sound of subway cars travelling directly overhead! That was a blast, and my crew left right at 4AM when the fuzz showed up and busted the whole thing... I bet several hundred subway riders passing by overhead wondered what that ~40 foot-wide Unidentified Rockin' Object was down in the valley, heh heh...

my best memories r from south africa, a 3 day vortx festival when mr. suzuki playing god himself... 
ausi for its amazing beachs and never ending landscapes.
and some party in india that was located in the mountains near a bungee jumping station... have u ever jumped bungee while triping?

The best location I've ever partied at was a place we called "the clifftops" north of Melbourne Australia. I went to about 4 or 5 parties there, they were set up in a clearing right at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Great Diving Range. All night it was like a normal party in the bush, but when sun rise came, the view became apparent & the vibe of the party became amazing. You could see for ever, this giant canyon with forests, rivers & towns. It was like partying on the edge of the world. Unfortunately the police cracked down on parties there though, so there hasn't been one there for a couple of years.... Ah well. I'll never forget it.
Just remember.... in Hell.... there will be doof.... |

Went to that party as well. Was one of the best parties I have ever been to in my life.
My bestest though would have to be Infected Mushroom last year Dec. It was my 21st b-day, plus my engagement party and of course one of the best producers in the trance world playing in a sunny, grass covered space with trees and a river. What a memory!!

hard q'.....
1.some where in the forrest above old Manaly,North India last year....a party org' by Japanese guys...a plato with snowy mountin tip on your left...a thick Indian forrest on your right.... a huge cliff with a waterfall right infront of u...and behind u many Japanese tripping out smoking there see thru,Crystal Chillums
2.Aussie 2003 somewhere near Newcastle,on some sandy dunes......not far from the ocean...somthing in thoese endless aussie terrains just "gets u" and i got to tell u there is somthing really starnge crawling up thoese Eucalyptus.......
3.Up state New York 2002.....green forrest,grass plato...richness of life an nature....ahhh magical place...had the best time geting totally lost there and not caring about it....
4.Judian Desert....many spots many diffrent times....just a perfect place.....over looking the dead sea,or just over looking vallys with Diff' colores in the stone and sand.....AMAZING!
this list is in no specific order of times or Quality.....all in my life time...all amazing places...may this never end

ok, one of my best:
I was doing the usual salar-de-uyuni trip in bolivia. the salar is a huge salt plateau, about half the size of the state of Israel. imagine being on a sea of salt, where all you can see around you is a white flat earth and nothing else. like being on a boat in the middle of the ocean butwith salt instaed of water.
I put on my Minidisc, pressed play and walked far from all the other ppl that were there with me, and started dancing like crazy.
I had a great time; they all had a great laugh seeing me in my private party.
