What is more important on a Festival?

Hi Dudes!!
I'm trying to make a sort of Inquery on; how people define the quality of a Festival, so please answer by put the following items, on the order that you consider wright:
-Venue facilities
-Landscape
-Line-Up/Music style
-Sound Sistem quality
-Decoration
-Event organisation
-Promotors and crew Vibe
-General details
-Prices (Entrance & Bar)
Feel also free to add any coments about what a festival can have to improve the general satisfation of the people.

1)event organisation
2)venue facilities
3)line_up/music style-sound system quality...IMO these two things can not work in a different way..
4)landscape
5)prices
6)promotors and crew vibe
7)decoration
8)general details

besides all the stuff you wrote here I have to add one thing that I think is very important for a good festival:
workshops!
this is something I really enjoy...I always want a good festival to offer me something more besides the dancefloor...it can be just some movies or shows but it has to be something to get my mind off of dancing for a while

It really depends on the size of the event...
The more important to me :
1/ music
2/ people
3/ place
There, the magic can happen.
Still, the bigger the event, the more important the promotors.
The more expensive the ticket, the more important the sound quality, the event organisation, etc....
Don't forget security (especially regarding cops... ie Samothraki 2003). |

Besides what has been said I would ad to the Line up a well distributed Live Line up.. in other words... a Dark Live at night , AProggy live in the after noon and so on...

I agree 300% that it's imperative tthe crew vibe,because this work will be translated into the whole festival vibration, all the rest is for shure as important as this fact but the feeling on project managers is very important , i'm learning it each day more and organisaing now Shiva's Vision festival i read and agree with u in the priorities for a good festival where a big mechanism is involved.

Like Tris said, it depends much on the seize of the event, but if the vibe of organizers and promoters is not good, then I think there can't be a good festival coming out of it. |
