If labels did a better job in presenting a decent package I believe more pp would buy it...
Cause if u hv only some crappy cover art and the cd u can not compete with burned cds, but if u present a package with lots of art, lotīs of text with artistīs perspective on their work, case insert, a sticker, a fckng hologram... I donīt know... stuff would became collectors itens...

So this is the new excuse for not buying music? What's next? That Polar Bear's have red polka dots?
Maybe if people WOULD buy music the labels could afford to spend more money on their products.... Hillarious how people here always complain and complain... Firts it's the high CD prices then it's the bad cover design's and now it's the badly manufactured CD tray's/packs.
I thought most people did not care about covers and booklet's anyway... At least that's the impression I get everytime I hear a defense for downloading music.

Well the complaints are quite legitimate.
If you buy milk in the store and you find it badly packed you suspect that something wrong with the content.
When i buy Hallucinogen in Dub and find only the tracklist in the sleeve and 1 line of OTT thanks to... i start to suspect that Twisted doesn't really give a fuck. Yes the music is great but let's not forget that Twisted is the most expensive label nowadays. Their CDs in Israel cost 20 Shekels (4 Euro) more than Hommega for example.
And it's not Local/Foreign issue at all.
The designs and the sleeves of Hommega/BNE albums are far more thoughtful.
Another good example from the past is Shulman's Album.
It had some very nice notes inside.
Christian (Elysium) pls stop bitchning about every complaint that ppl have.
It's called capitalism. You choose what to buy and there is a competition so the ppl up in the high windows should start to consider the customer's desires as well.

I must say that cd covers get broken because of bad packing up by the recordstores.
But who cares I just throw away the cover, taking out the cd & leaflet and store them in caselogic doublesided sleeves! I would need an extra room to store all the cd's if I keep all the cases! It's all about the music, it's not gonna sound better if it looks more trippy or so! |

well, to go off-topic for a second, i buy CDs because i like the packaging, and because the sound quality is the best.
i have to give credit to a lot of the Israeli releases like the UFS series. they have pro art, cases, and sleeves. and they don't cost as much as many other releases.
i still don't understand how moving to digipacks is any cheaper? |
