other than that, i don't think i need to have a reason...i cannot always explain why i like or dislike certain things. if it doesn't work for me, it just doesn't...work for me.

hey there m8 hold your fire...
there one big thing called TASTE and OPPINION...each one has his own, and that wont chance anytime soon (except tv junkies...those dont have any oppinion of their own >=P)
and when i mean that eletronic music is the the future of music, its like saying dvd is the future of vinyl...innovations come around, they stick around...
you know why there wasnt any eletronic music in the 60`s?? because the technology wasnt around...
you know why there wasnt any movies in the 19th century? BECAUSE THE TECHNOLOGY WASNT AROUND!
do you get my point????
but then again...
so what you dont like my sentence? =)

i thougt you mean that electronic music is the music of the future not because we have know the technology to create it.. but because its like the "1st place kind of music now" and those who hate it are wrong.. |

I love my friends. I've picked them out carefully from the people I can't stand. I'm talking about how psy attracts the drugged out idiots, seemingly intelligent people that feel the NEED to be on something at a party and the moron (possibly also drugged out) walking down the trail rambling about spirituality in the most asinine way. Also the guy that just won't leave the performer alone because he's too drunk and has to be carried off. I don't think that one is purely psy-related however.. |

Now that I think a little more.. you are absolutely correct.
The reason I said such a thing is because I came to psy from metal which really only has the drunken guy being carried off for the most part..
I gets confused sometimes.
As for the sounds.. like I said earlier the bassline and I don't know how to explain it but when a good artist is playing it seems like everyone in the room is talking all at once.. it's a really overwhelming sound/feeling..
Funny samples as well.. Futurama (two thumbs up) I love catching eyes with the only other person laughing in a room/field of people stomping away.

there is always an unpredictable aspect in the music, something that keeps you on the edge, and it gives a wonderful feeling

Personally, a lot of my friends see psy as "boom boom boom" music. I see it differently though, and can compare it to racing/driving a car....
The "boom boom boom" is the freeway itself, a constant that while having its own rhythm, is quite consistent. It’s the play of the pedal and the clutch when hitting a turn, the subtle manipulation of the steering wheel and the acknowledgement/avoiding of other drivers..... those "other" sounds in darkpsy that are the real adventure.
Now it seems I can tune out the bass drum and focus in on all the layers, levels and patterns without even trying. |

I dont care what anyone else or my friends/folks think about psytrance. As long as I like the vibes and the energy the music brings in with itself, its just perfect for me. It's takes time for ordinary people to get used to and be able to understand the vibrations psytrance produces.
Peace and light...
