Couple of years ago i posted the same topic here to know what do you thing about psytrance in your city and now i´m living in London but i always read some brazilian trance websites and i realize that some ppl are really unhappy about it.. seems that things are going really bad nad ppl are stopping to go to those parties and "new trance ppl" are becoming the real massive crowd that goes to raves.. what do you thing about that? i really want to know cos i´m here and i saw some quite good line ups over there but my friends are always complaining and saying to me that things are changing or parties are being cancelled cos those new ppl are kind of ruining the scenne cos of drugs and they also says that those ppl are making parties a free drug playground.. so i wanna know what do you guys think a bout it.. and about your city.. think are good? great? getting better? not good at all? crap?
I really wanna know your opinion and what do you thinf is the main problem if it is and what we should do about it..

Cheers..

here in south of bahia (brasilian scene born here )is really good , good djs, good lives , good decoration and good projects from here also . but is see one thing in this topic, everybody talk about dark parties and the subliminal message is dark saves the wolrd . hey ppl no walls betwen music .trance is trance does matter the the sound is dark or full on or hi tech , music is music and lets start respect all styles and maybe we get strong scenes and pls don let me wrong taste is taste also and i respect

i agree rud! people should focus more in quality psychedelic music instead of this full-on vs progg vs dark.
i am tired of this thing of "dark is the salvation", or even this ideia that "full-on in the morning, progg at the afternoon, and dark at nigh", this only leads to this limited vision
people should go to the dancefloor prepared for good and unexpected tunes, that really can surprises us,

and back to the topic, the scene here in RJ sux! althought there r some few iniciatives...
and anon, many thing u said i agree 100%!
the scene in london seams to be great, the squat partys.. underground tunes coming from uk too

Bahia ..u-huu, yah
i wanna go to a party in barra grande, that place is great. if u know any call me

BH has both faces: Mainstream and more private events.

The underground scene is more on week days, so for those who work early the other day, it's kind of hard to keep up. Like myself.

The commercial parties are getting more often. Parties with more then 5000. And many oraganizers who always labeled themselves as underground, are taking the same commercial lead. Shame on you!!

Bottom line: Like anything, it has it's good side, and it's bad one. So you gotta chose wheather you like coffee (like most people) or tea...

very wise words dude. its all a matter of choice, but its also truth that our underground lacks some 'diversity' i'd say. but i guess this situation might change.

Just one thing:

You guys are labeling the underground scene to Dark Music.
Underground doesn't necessary have to be Dark!

i agree that SP has some good iniciatives, like Respect as u said, and people trying to do something diferent, but honestly, with all respect, SP (and even rj) were never "the" place for me.
i still prefer to travel to GO, BA and BH.. or trip to the most far as possible from SP-RJ
