Belém
Here we hv a a nice scene, even been so far from the "center of the country", the biggest names of psychedelic scene were here in last 3 years.. names like Infected Mushroom, Skazi(10.000 peoples!!), Gms, Eskimo, Void, CPU, Shift, Dimitri Nakov, Gataka and maaany others hv already played here in Belém..
Nowadays the trance scene is very popular here, but due to the problems with the police in the last months, the parties got more difficult of happen, even so almost all weekends have private and root's parties in farms, ranches....but veeerey nice parties with people dancing and having fun all the time !

rao!

in my city, salvador de bahia, the scene has strong roots on psychedelic culture. people here likes weird sounds, alien frequencies, subterranean vibrations, black holes, pulsars and supernovas. well, it's a city with 70% of black people. the drums float along the ultramarine air. you know, the mood created by an open air landscape makes big connection to the music heard. salvador has a passion to the surreal, to the unexpected, to the dance, to sub-woofers. hehehe. i dont know exactly why but clubby sounds never get its way to the raves here. the people are friendly, lots of smile, and love to gather open air. it's like a... futuristic samba, lost tropical tribes into hyperreal beats making jams under the full moon. that vibe still lives here. and pulsates very strong. i like salvador a lot.

belo horizonte maybe good campared to other cities, but, that doesn't mean that we got a good scene.

we're majorly dominated by commercial trance and trendy people. party orgazinations are often guided by small groups who always have the same people playing. if you're not an insider, if you're not inside the "panelinhas", you're fuckin lost.

we got some good djs, some good acts, but also a lot of lame people playing the trends of the moment.           https://www.facebook.com/BiijahRecords

yes, i understand your point, but i dont think we can say that bh has a 'dark' scene. we can just say that it has a few isolated elemtents. =)           https://www.facebook.com/BiijahRecords

Ok... I guess I'll have to bend over to sao paulo, my city... ok we have our problems, like fights, crowded comm parties, it's expensive, etc....

yet almost all artists i've wanted to see have been around here sometime, so i guess i dont have to complain.

if you can see the better side of the party, then perhaps you can enjoy sao paulo...

Presidente Prudente is on."Prudente"is in Sao Paulo state, and there, the party never ends.there is 3 or 4 ranchs to be used, incredible locations.the partys are always super secret,no ISRATRANCE,baladplanet and etc.
hightech and high quality.the best artists on tour in brasil make the last push for this 300.000 people small city.the 3 promoters work prety tie together, and with a lot of success made "Prudente"the brasilian secret sanctuary of the psytrance.

we have some partyes.. good partyes, but they are all about the money...
the people thinks only in wrecked machines, sub6, infected mushroom, astrix and all the hommega crew.. nothing against then, but sometimes we like to hear somethig different

when i want to watch some good live act i have to go to sao paulo and other cities

don't get me wrong, but everything is about the money...

there's no way someone will spend time making a nice party with no business in mind... the thing is these "different" sounds you say don't get the attention they want...

as long as small partys don't get more professionals, in term of structure and organization, they will allways be as they are today... amateurs...

it's the same to everytinh else... I know it's an example kind of non-sense, but think about the pro sports in br... if it's not soccer, it's not important, so it's not proffitable, making they not enjoyable!

I think the scene in BH is very good compared to other cities.
We got parties for all tastes, pvt´s, comercial ones, etc...With all kinds of artists at the parties also, not only about psytrance, others like Fatboy Slim, Paul Van Dyk, ferry costen and others.
Even at the comercial parties, after 10 am the crowd goes home and stays at the party only the people who really likes the sound, and you can see that are usually the same people.
We got nice weekly indoor parties with psytrance, dark, electro, etc..some good choices

And I am not mentioning about the girls we got here!
