Speaking only about sound design I would name WaterJuice/Shiva Subcontractor for the unique flavour, Motion (aka Tetraktys) who played last week-end a new track with his own voice singing, JouJouka for the sonic half-casting, Merv Peppler for the huge work of sampling, Blowfish : just listen to "Puffed Up" and you'll know what I mean, X-Dream/Downhill for all the reasons already given, same goes for Midi Miliz, Red Seal, Violet Vision/J-Viewz, and to name a last one, even if there are surely others : Gabriel Le Mar for his inhexaustible inspiration in so many radicaly different styles...

seems like Deedrah is one of the very few producers that uses a programm called 'metasynth' which is a programm to create sounds... CREATE sounds, not working on them.... a job that for the most producers seems to be too much of a job... better be quick and lazy, producing shitty pop-trance... wakkala, the minute that this horrible pop-trance will be presented on MTV or so, I'm out.... come on you producing people, be creative..... be original..

BT with no doubt.
In an interview he once said that one of his recent singles (Somnabulist) had 6000 different vocal edits. Which is pretty much a lot. I don't know how exactly he counted them all, but if you'll give it a listen than perhaps you shall hear it as well.

Quoted from another site:
...Listen carefully and you’ll hear the result of (no doubt 1000’s of) hours of recording and production. 6000+ vocal edits on Somnambulist (is he mad?), ‘time corrected train and thunder’ and ‘sample accurate, nano-corrected rain’. Oh and some scuba diving sounds in the middle of the track PARIS. He is mad!

BT is great. (i own a few albums of theirs) but its not psychedelic music.

i would say, infected, hallucinogen, sphongle, the usual suspects really.

I'd have to say Onnomon. creative, intelligent psychedelic trance. Every track has it's twists and turns and constantly evolves.
Every track.
The man puts alot of time and thought into his compositions (or it's just diving inspiration, I don't know). Just brilliant.

Imagine a large number of monkeys banging away at keyboards (QUERTY or piano, your choice) and randomly twisting sliders, knobs, and levers, with a little bit of dancing thrown in...I'm just the editor, sifting thru it all.

thanks,
