Hi there i am addressing those a bit more elderly in the scene, those with experience, those who right now crave some really good music or maybe....
Were in the world is there a good non-commercial scene? I am so fricken fed up of going to parties and festivals paying money to have a couple of hours of good music and the rest is playboys and playgirls who dance like fricken twits and no energy at all!
If anybody knows were in the world i can find a nice scene of happy people who like GOOD serious music (no wooopy things or crazy kids stuff) please let me know i am interested to join them one day!
I would really love a unique trance experience right now,something that has not happened for too long now!

I think US, Finland and Russia are the place to seek for real freaks, rest places are the same i guess. Especially hot weather lands or yours and mine!
US scene only starts and most od US/Canadians artists keep psytrance underground!
Russians/Polish/Ukrainian and other slavic freaks always been a FREAKS, commercionalism doesn't affect them since they never buy/sell anything, lol!
Germany still booming with some crazy stuff except of fluffy progressive they make now!
Finland are known freaks, just listen to their music, do you expect different at their parties, NO WAY, crazy Fins! |

Willy U seem to have travelled a lot and met many people to know so much things.. Or are these suppositions ?
I have seen in example videos of parties in Russia were the average age of the crowd must be around 19... So I doubt they are Hardcore Freaks, excuse me..
Same goes for Germany and what you call "fluffy progressive".. If it is what I'm thinking about then it's been existing for several years now..
So Ganjagil, I don't think there is a particular country where you'll find your happiness.. You can find it everywhere, it relies mostly on the promoter of the party you're going to and its way of "thinking" the party..
Even in Switzerland, maybe the country I would mention as "the" one, you have the black and the white..

i agree with KakoO, i think that you can find all kind of parties everywhere, but yeah, have to digg deeper nowadays as the scene has spread worldwide... and why not "creating" your own parties, the way you like them, with a group of ppl you appreciate, eventhough it could be on a small scale to start with 
(having the same concerns in Lebanon when it comes to the "Trance" scene, i.e. not "psy": lots of heavily adverstised cheesy events, with big names, and lots of wasted kids.. My friends and I are gathering ppl sharing our humble vision and we are starting our own "intimate" parties, that are progressively building up)

i think for us to get that old school feeling (i miss that too...very much) is to organize a underground old school festival in a neutral place and invite those goa heads and feeling peolple that so many times alltoghether in union can bring the worm int our souls again .....eh eh eh eh eh
lets make a underground old school festival with those ancient live acts that wee can never forget !!!!!

trully what Kakoo said made sense. Every country has its share of 'black n white'.
But from my personal experiences, a more hardcore, serious bunch of freaks wud be the US/Canadian parties.
Tho, it all shatters when somebody decides to bring in Infected Mushroom or sumthn

Gotta go to San frncisco or Brazil or even russia for the real deal any more,And at least there is less dishonesty as far as I have seen as well.Some real Psychedellic folks.And by the way I am getting tiered of people who bring there negitivity and egos to such a beautiful comunal scene. |

Ganjagil, I too noticed some pretention in the Brasilian scene but there are many amazing people too - you just have put the vibe out (hi gui!).
I think the festival you seek in Rainbow Serpent Festival in late January in Melbourne Australia. It is the truest party I have ever been to, genuine smiles, genuine freaks. Down dirty dancing all day and night. Talk to anyone who has been and you will see what happens to them when you ask. That will convince you.

If you truly want to see smiling faces and feel good vibes, you do not need to go to a party, look outside of your window, take a local bus, go to the supermarket. People with good vibratiuons are all around. I agree that sometimes it is not easy to be in tune with them. I wish you the best of luck. Personally, when I feel jaded, I feel jaded everywhere and when I feel life, I feel it everywhere too.
