Mushi no ne and Sputnik are new names to me! Amazing how large the trance community here is, I am always hearing of new organizations, partly because I only came here eight months ago. But the people I have met here, I feel so fortunate to have met. I hope to continue this in the future!
I look forward to hearing about events from these orgs, and hope to keep in touch with you, and all others who seek the Light and love the music. Spread the love to the world!

No schedule up yet for this year but keep on watch or ask them directly which I'm sure they will be happy to give you info.
Usually they restrict people attending under 300 people. To keep the good vibe.

Yeah, Labirinth is fabulous! I been twice and I had experienced the best vibe/crowd in their parties.
ManiacIQ. organized a party in Nagano early may and was a BLAST! But just like Labirinth, they are Progressive Style.
In psytrance side I recomend Psychedelic Engine, one of the best parties I ever been in my life was one with the same name in a hidden place near to Fuji Mountain and the stage was inside a truck! Amazing crowd! I'll never forget!

Now, Goa Ganges...I dont wanna discuss with you either, but seems like you pretending to be superior just because you are older in the scene... This is so childish!
Who do you think you are to judge me or judge artists music? Kind of God?
Yes you can express your point of view about things, but not to JUDGE!
For your information, I started to listen psytrance 8 years ago in Brazil. I fall in love with this music listen to badly recorded cassete tapes sended by a german friend...2 years later, coming to Japan I started to buy GOA trance compilations by Rumour Records/London. So, Maybe Im not "postgraduate" in psytrance like U do. But yes, I know many music from the old times and I love it! Leftfield, Man with No name, Etnica, Shamanic Tribes on Acid, Astral Projection, Star Sounds Orchestra, Children of Dub, Organic Tea were my favorites... Actualy I dont listen to them often but I think in psychedelic trance the evolution never stoped and I know we have great artists making excelent music nowdays! For sure the scene is sick, I mean, many people, many artists, comercialism. Of course many waste music is natural, is decurrent. But if you cant see that we still have briliant minds in psytrance...

...maybe you than need upgrades

many people cant go along with the music evolution...

...That's why they create flashback programs in radio.

just kidding ok.
peace

ps: let me know which party I said was killer and actualy was not!          "...Life must to be a preparation for transition to another dimension..."

I have never ever heard a bunch of guys complain about being in a crowded room full of sexy, excited, screaming Shibuya girls on drugs so much before! …..for most of the foreigner population in the Big T it would be a wild fantasy come true….hahaha
---------------
But I can definitely understand the irritation – at having you sacred, secret culture ‘discovered’ so quickly by a bunch of airheads and fashion whores…it really must bust your bubble – and it would probably bust mine too. I remember in the 90’s – watching X-dream slam some bass-heavy-damage indoor in Tokyo – and seeing a couple miha-gyaru with glowsticks acting all kooky and non-trancelike – and they stuck out like a sore thumb…I cringed, and thought ‘how the hell did these people find out about this – what are they doing at a trance party?” – and that was only 3 or 4 people out of several hundred.

Yeah, I saw the pictures of infected mushroom – and I finally understand what you guys mean when you say it’s becoming a rock concert – the cellphone cameras, the limos, the ‘arena style’ hands-in-the-air seating, the groupies lining up to touch the artists hands….
--------
OKAY..so this is what it has become – and in some ways – it seems perefectly natural that the hedonistic consumer masses of youth in Tokyo would come to find out about something as genuinely-fucking-cool as what genuinely underground psychedelic trance vibes in Japan used to be…
But the past is the past, and the present is the present…and YOU ALL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT A VQ, SOLISTCE indoor in Tokyo is going to involve nowadays, and the peeps it will attract…! You’ll have to go far into the forest to screen this high-maintence ‘trance fans’ out of the mix….I am willing to bet that they couldn’t be bothered to drive, hitchhike or camp!

All I can say, is that I know a lot of true Japanese trancers with the blazing spirit from around the world, and most of them are based in Japan – so you’ll have to invent your own secret culture. ALL THE RIGHT PEOPLE ARE STILL THERE – it is just harder to get them together. I’m sorry it’s not the paradise it used to be –

Head for the SMALLER outdoor events in Nagano/Shizuoka this summer – this is where I met osme of the most far out Japanese…rasta commune people, yoga freaks, shaman people. Make your own gathering on Tanegashima, or ishiigaki-jima or somewhere remote. Do check out a guy named Russ, who has been working hard to promote a festival called Mindgames for a few years now – for sure to have a better vibe (if not quite as famous music) as what you would find at Summer Solstice.

The future is in your hands, trancers now in japan – I’m hoping for a rennisance of the authentic Japanese goa spirit! Ganbatte!

p.s. I want to hear more "good party" reports from JApan like KEnji-Dub told us about..please do whatever it takes to make it come true again

Ok guys, first I'd like you to know that I am very happy, even proud of this discussion. It shows that there are a lot of nice, emotive people around who cares about trance. Sometimes I really get nostalgic and I miss going to a good nice party, and that's why I complain so much. I think that all what you said is right. Avoid mega-parties, try going to the small ones - where no one is there to be seen or to show off.
I think that in the near future people will get tired of this current situation and then trance will return to its roots.

An Kenji, perhaps I really over-reacted with with you. I didn't mean to sound superior or anything like that. I just wanted to show you that I know what I am talking about. And I don't want trance to sound like it sounded in the past. Everything really develops into something else as time goes by, but trance became something totally different from what it was in its beginning. What I hope is a change of direction, one that associates the spirit of true trance with modern sounds.

Trance once was a spiritual force in the form of music. That is really what I miss.

Peace and Love for you all.

the scene here sucks!!!
common guys just admit it and dont try to play and give long lectures...
cant agree with you more goa-ganges
its realy hard to explain what happened in the old days...all those concerts now...with the good sound systems....
fuck it...
right now i feel that its better to listen trance with earphones and a small bottle...
isn`t it?

Well Cosmochan, that's exactly what I'm doing these days...barely going to a trance event, even if it's happening a few blocks from home.
But I think that we should not stay quiet and just stare at what I call "the situation", lol. Me sounding like a politician huh? Wee, I really think that we are part of the scene even if we don't attend parties. And take not, we are the BEST part of the scene, the ones who cares. So we must really complain to show that things have to change. I'll tell a small victory of mine - one that makes me very positive about the future...I've a friend that organizes small parties to a maximum of 300 people. Point is, he met trance five years ago, so his knowledgement about trance tracks is basically related to full-on sounds. All DJs and artists he books are full-on fans. So one day he told me that everybody - including me - talked about happy vibes, smiles and shouting in happinnes...things he said he would like to have experienced. So I told him to trying booking "alternative" DJs, the ones who play good trance - even if they are a little old. Next party he tried and booked a 43 year-old DJ, lol, a very famed one and I will tell you what. Guy just blowed the dance floor, playing old tracks and pouring some more modern ones (I recognized Cosmo Chaos three times, and the other day bought the CD), and the everybody went crazy, some of them getting the real sense the word "trance" means.
Now my friend has moved from full-on to more melodic, psychedelic, lost in space trance.

It is a small victory, but it shows that he respected my opinion and that's why I tell you: keep complaining, don't give up.

Peace and Love

yes goa ganges we can try....
but the problem here is that the orgenizers and promoter think that they invented trance music and trance parties...they dont like to listen..and they like only who is popular.
anyway the scene`s face is like the country`s-only popularity goes here..dont try to be special just same everybody...
i guess thats why we dont hear a lot of local music.
gambate des...
