i don't prefer vocals as they pull me away from the trance. if there are vocals then i usually am reminded of popular music.

I hate to hear movies samples in tracks. It's just so easy way to feel the blank (or the break) and totaly "has been" and ugly imo.
I'd rather prefer a real vocal arrangement which is much more difficult to realize and give a musical taste to the sound.
But i recon, those days i'm a bit fed up with vocals too... just too much.

hate it, hate it, hate it.
Totally ruins any form of focused concerntration pattern that you might be in and forces you to listen to what they are saying which is usually nothing interesting.
Love psytrance though. Just hate _any_ form of vocals.
And the sad part is i cant find _any_ single radio station online that is void of it.
Every psytrance radio station on shoutcast always seams to mix in some vocals.
I'm at the point where I would consider partnering with anyone who would want to promote a site like this to fill it with talent. I would build the system, you promote it. we share server costs.

Vocals are good if they placed in the right place of a track.
Some thing like the Liquid Soul track Devotion .
Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons. |

aciduss, yup you got it. thats the stuff that make me want to change to another channel.
Great song, but not for when i want to be in a concentrated 'trance' like focused state.
Wish there was a different name for it when its got samples in, that way you could opt-out.
Wheres the option for those that don't want the singing?
Psytrance is AWESOME for studying and programming, it _really_ gets you focused. Just not when there is samples/singing. |

I can only appreciate the Finnish language (it is the funniest thing I've ever heard. But also cool sounding at the same time. So rad.)
Also I like Alan Watts (who is used in suomi mostly, from I've heard)
and of of course, voices with helium (also as in the suomi sound)
Otherwise, no singing for me please.

I think that vocals are fine but only in short bursts,from a phrase to few seconds and without some cheesy shit...I personally like orient vocals,I think they can be really cool in hands of a skilled producer...It all depends on taste of listener and creator |
