listen to manifold - Faces in V/a edge, i kinda liked it.
I personally hate lyrics, yeah psychedelic samples and as magnus said screams and agony really freaks me OUT!!!

i rarely like vocals in psytrance.
i say there are ok but isnt defenitly easy to come up with good vocals and lyrics for psytance.
chanting in psytrance is great.
i would like to hear some senseless babling like singing in a alien lenguaje just for curiosity

The voice is also a instrument, use it!
you can make lots of things with your voice or just crazy sounds... haha
so vocals can fit in any kind of music if they are used right...
i think people mostly think about singing(britney spears) or cheesy vocal samples... there is more to it..

short vocal samples from movies ar so, speech, prayers etc can work.. but i draw the line when we come to analogue pussy, michele adamson, dali and those. |

sample vocals tastifully done is super cool... they make u laugh at times or they make u think.
some ppl hate vocal samples in a track... they r like..it deviates them from their trip..like screwing around with their meditation.

Vocals can work in psychedelic music (Hawkwind & Greatful Dead are far more psychedelic than 95% of psy trance acts) and can work in dance music - so there should be no reason why they cannot work in psy trance - just dont think anyone has ever done it well. |
