sure, just spend time in learning synthesis!
the same amount of time you worked to buy your virus ti.
then you can create new sounds.

That's an extremely generic question, even for Isratrance. There are constand new threads popping up where people are asking for advice but have no clue how to ask for it as they are just starting out. That's what your post looks like.
It'd be one thing if you actually wrote out a question that showed you have some sort of knowledge about the subject....or were after some sound in particular...
if you have really been tweaking for 20 years, then you would see the insensibility of your post in that it is so generic and synthesis is such a complex subject..especially on the Virus which has a lot of depth to it.
Exchanging ideas is what this forum is all about...another thing...the Virus is a very popular synth for psy, and I'm 1000% certain that there are other posts by similar users in your situation. Did you try to look them up before making this post?
Don't take it harshly, everyone who posted in this thread was simply trying to help (albeit in a limited way as your question is very broad) - there are smartasses around but the above posters are not   If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

it's all good, I think one of my first posts on this forum was an extremely generic question about how to make 'those little psy sounds' that I was hearing in some track I really liked 
Did you have a classic synth or new psy sound in particular that you were after? A common way to start synthesis discussion is to post a youtube link to a track with something like 'the part that comes in at 1:22 is really great, how would I go about constructing something like that'
But if you are looking to start a thread that's more based on general tips and tricks specific to the virus and not any one sound in particular, you could start off with a tip or trick that you've found effective yourself on the virus - then someone else might be like "hey! that's a cool tip! I am now inspired to share something that you might find useful..."

it wasnt a question......was just trying to get some sort of thread that was like a bunch of "recipes"
getting bored with trance sounds at the moment
everyone trying to sound like eavh other and i thought that if there was a place where ideas were swapped people "power" might take it a bit further
that was all
and your right i am very touchy
come from a very small minded town where anything different is a threat so im used to going nuts to get by and i have no one to make this kind o music with..........

sorry man, i must have misunderstood your first post, but now i know that you are just here to EXCHANGE (take and GIVE) knowledge about synthesis.
i am - and i guess many others here are too - waiting for the tips and tricks of a pro sound designer! (one surely is after 20 years of dedicated synth tweaking)
