Violence in the trance scene and what can be done about it ?

Upavas, i can tell you that the word to mouth thing still works, at least here in israel and it does just that - bring the people that you'd want to be meeting and dancing with (in the sense of likeminded people) - but for that you need a big enough crowd and as israel is pretty small you can always know that whoever should know about your party, they will 
i honestly dislike how facebook threw out practically any filter, but do appreciate the way it helps you reach a crowd, and at that, a new crowd too. you can make use of some filters in facebook (hell the last party i threw, we had to remove people from the invite list - from somewhere around 1200 people to 400, and that was HARD) and maintain the attendants that way, not publishing directions to the site till a couple of hours before the party and only to the people you want to be reaching etc.
i also want to refer to the way you said about the goodness in you reflecting on aggressiveness - i still believe in that and see it happen every day, maybe its harder, but you must continue showing people that love is the way and violence gets you nowhere - i think its a universal message and is still relevant, i have seen attendants in a festival that had about 7k people, more than half of which were not connected in the spiritual meaning of the psychedelic scene, yet when attending the festival they got immersed in the vibe and acted that way and i honestly believe they took it with them to their real day to day lives - thats why i think this scene and its message can still create a change, it just takes time... i think that exposing as many people as you can to this way of life is what will bring the change you want to see |

EYE absolutely agree with this words and Goaran opinion in its entirety. Also, not like am not fully appalled by this quite frankly ,really bad, incident... hope such sort of experiences will be coming to a full stop halt finally! I've always believed the psychedelic scene is what disintigrates all the barriers and norms, such as nationality, cultural programming,capitalism & politics (MOST OF ALL) etc,etc.....and although, obviously, all sorts of encounters are possible.. I still continue to Believe, in spite of all, that what this so called 'new age' culture truly stands for are VALUES, like LOVE, integrity, neverending human potential and creativity.... truly like to believe this sort of bad experiences are rather an exception, a very bad one, than the usual norm , IN SPITE OF seeing and reading so many comments that seem to address this sort of issues going on for years ..... which is indeed really really very SAD 
Also, I would like to express my sorrow with this and send out to Upavas lots of positive energy!!!! I would recommend we all do show our support now and here, not just because someone has been speaking of VALUES and been addressing such issues as violence and agression, but because of someone's loss...which I believe will be returned in one or another form. Lets bring it ON, finally, that love is a life-force which knows no limits....... its truly a universal lesson...i hope for a remedy for ur friend and loss, and truly expressing my most sincere condolences to u .... really, u should not pay attention to Faxi Nadus and all the people who might feel concerned by your words and actions,and MIND them from NOWHERE, because its THEIR OWN CONCERN!!!!!! Love is a life-force power agent ! Use it!!

Lets support and be very conscious of this - FULL stop the violence and agression, full power of love, awareness and compassion - realizing,with hearts and minds wide open, it could have been and could very well BE our OWN selves in those shoes next time in the future! And I realize this is probably reaching out to those people , who are seeing this already and probably not to others, who might have realized it if they were reading...

The most violent thing I've seen in 10 years (wow it'll be 10 years for me this summer..shit) of trance parties in the US is someone yelling pretty intensely at someone else. Never seen a fist thrown.
Sure, there are people who don't like each other or get into arguments outside the parties, but yeah never ever seen anything like that at a party
Then again USA parties are 50-200 people for the vast majority of events and its a much more family vibe, I can see how much larger events made for profit could be infiltrated by assholes.

the beautiful idea has not shattered , upava. it is still there, right in the middle of your heart, where it was born. and it will stay there as long as you keep it. even if the whole world outside collapses in front of your eyes, you can still keep the idea. make music, finish the psy gems that you are working on for two years now. this might not change the world, but it will keep the idea for a few more weeks alive. after that you will find another ways to continue believing in the beautiful idea, do new things, may be for new people. you will find them somewhere else.
the good people are still out there in the world. and even germany is full of them - it is one of the most socially conscious and peacefull places to be, after all. we have already kissed the trance partys good buy. for a long time. nobody notices, because "the scene" is getting bigger, the followers and grupies in the social media are getting more and more. and it is simply not "our scene" any more. but the beautiful idea is still there, and we have never lost it. if you change yuor focus you might even see us. far far away from the partys.
violence is there since quite a few years now. i already mentioned years ago that i experiences it myself. tried to change things for years. but at the end of the day, there is the point to accept that some things cannot be changed. there is a moment when the 12142374th try makes no sense any more. and you change your own direction.

but you can still feel somehow connected to "the scene". i've been calling it hibernation....

upavas sorry to hear that man ,sad stories.
we don't see it but violence and steals is not uncomon in festivals and parties and since the beginign i go in parties here i have seen fights... trance scene beeing undeground attracted all sort of weird peoples .
i remember fights even man on girl and the worst was a friend's manager that got cut at ozora, just to tell we dont necessary see the dark side but it s there.
in places where insecurity is becoming alarming it s hard to get a good scene i guess , not much love in the air |

seems it only has been reported about this in bavaria.. (didn't even know sat1bayern exists). I'd expect atleast a report in mushroom media if not really in the ty and media spreading it for the country not only a region.
I doubt festivals are in danger here, I think they will exist here for atelast decaedes tbh longer than in any other country - meanwhile it is too deeply rooted in the freetime culture (sure not just the rather small psytrance festivals)
On parties that exists unofficialy where drugs and money changes very often its owner such disaster is unfortunately not excludable.
.. i could only repost my previous : as much as I did not like those myself, a security team is necesseary for the safety.
I would only let them out from a concept of making a psyevent if I party with really good friends.

Thats totaly fucked up.
But for sure there is fucked up people everywhere, and since the scene involves alot of drugs, that attract some mad people.
I dont know how the scene is in germany(only been to some bigger festivals there) but where i come from there is both the good and bad parties.
I stay away from the bad partys nowdays, and still can enjoy the beautiful side of the scene.
There is not just violence, drugs and idiots. There is also love, creativity, understanding,knowledge. The foundation the psy scene was buildt upon still remains, its just harder too find it(but then what do i know, i wasent even alive when it began )
