well i know at least 10 names that count so much and some names that count even more. but it is only hear/say from other artists and organisers which is the reason why i don't consider it okey from my side to discuss the names in forums....but may be the organisers and trance managers do consider it okey. it is good promotion:).

it is still not the subject of the topic:). because the subject was actually a video.... may be someone can go and ask in an interview if it is a bad thing to take so much money and why not...

Sound costs $1500, a small drop in the total price, i included in the price since sound is needed to host a Gil sow, he can only hand drum for so long...
$17000 is the total paid out to host a GIL event... We are forced to charge double the gate price it should be to the enter this event... I as well host other events that cost half the price with 20 plus artist..
At the same venue that Gil will "only" play per his refusing to look or understand the financial strain it put on his following cost less to host a 20 plus artist for a 3 day event there..
Some artist get a salary and they take care of themselves then some have hidden cost...
If i knew how to upload sets i would give a few sets and videos from Goa as well, the golden days, we even have our own interview

What would anyone care to discuss now that we got cost out of the way, your lizzard is still waiting for the troll or even Pavel to explain why Gil suxs... I still haven't seen the interview from this thread so does anyone have issues with anything said?
I do know Gil enjoys the best foods all the way to toothpaste and plays a flute when he is comfortable... It's also fun to make music with gil after the show, old sckool style with spoons, tubs, sticks and drums

That is super funny, we didn't book him this for that very reason... Unfortunately he preaches family so your lizzard works from that angle, i think Gil is bashful around me since i evoke truth outside the devotionals needs he has grown accustom too...
What is sad, his following has requested the truth way he didn't come this year and he has lost many peeps from it.. He also speaks with the wrong peeps sometimes when it come to negotiating but he does that because they don't question, they just say yes Gil(hehehe).. Our last encounter, he took advantage of our money bag or the person taking him to the store had too much on their plate to discuss with him that he buys his own food at the price we are paying him... Our hostess for him is a lovely soul, so i feel Gil took advantage of her when he himself can afford anything he seeks without any burden to his pocket..
As a service provider, I'm torn, Your lizzard enjoys Gil and making the south east happy.. Gil would understand the price issue if he would open his eyes..
There was this one Gil show where i play an extra track while waiting for Gil, the fans asked me to and Gil became upset with me..He was joking from what i heard so I'm joking back
So are we ready to start talking about the music or are we goan to stay hung up on cost in values? Unless Pavel or our troll have other meanings why Gil suxs.. Nah, talking about music would be too dangerous. Somebody will mention the word "dark", somebody else will start blowing it to pieces. Then Ocelot will show up and explain in painful details why the Congress should immediately amend the Constitution with a ban on saying "dark". A few flying middle fingers and unflattering epithets later Pr0fane will say something cool and reasonable about all this chaos, wish everybody happy Labor Day and lock the topic.
Why don’t you get the ball rolling, if you think you can avoid the scenario I described?

i believe, judgement is a bad thing. done it also a lot of times and every time life and the universe proved to me that it was wrong to do so. who are we to judge? all we can do is to chose if we wanna have something to do with things that we dont like and we cant resonate with. if we chose not to, then we just go.
me personally, it is not my world either. i have nothing to do with cult stars and even the idea to spend so much money for a trance party is not resonating in my heart. i believe also, that every spiritual path i have ever heard or read about in my life has always to do with renouncement of money, so i prefer to keep everything that i call spiritual in my life pure from taking and exchanging money. this is a pureness that means a lot to me.
but whatever, we are not the ones to judge. we only chose if we flow together with this or not.
i cant get rid of the feeling that it was not good to do this video in this way as it is. or at least not a good idea to post here. i just studied life for some years since then and got a bit more wisdom than i had in those days. the trance community has a karma which i dont want to be a part of any more. i think i paid enough for being a part of it. and my intuition tells me, that things either need to be pure hundred percent or they will be destroyed sooner or later. whatever.
but is it so difficult to speak on the particular topic, which is a conversation on a video? do i need to remake it ?

Trust that your lizzard isn't passing judgment, me resonate with all forms of music.. If i were to use judgment i would be agreeing with our troll and Pavel for more reasons than just hating the music..
I'm doing something no other seems to wish to do, provide the truth on the matter and not speak from a used car sales pitch...
There are many great things about the Gil experience and the price to make it happen isn't one them...

Well said... Our moderator Pr0fane should work with me on this, we together can settle any negative issue that come this way from a childish standpoint or adult if you will... Peoples should be allowed to vent here within reason.. Gil hides behind Shiva so to evangelize about trance from Goa levels invites religion to some level. Chakras are energy points and Christ Consciousness isn't just about baby Jesus although christians do have their own 7 basic levels of energy too.. Hence less attempt to speak music since this why isratrance is here...
Or we can dial in the perceptions of a Gil show, pick the route and your lizzard will follow while holding the guidelines at face value..
We got this if we all act as if we are adults... If you are bias towards the music just keep your words to yourself and allow some good conversations to unfold, please

Yeah, I exaggerated a bit about Pr0fane. He usually steps in when a discussion completely loses its relevance (like when it slips entirely into political rants). No, he’s not a problem, more of a solution actually. It’s just that certain events tend to unfold in stereotypical ways. “Dark” discussions tend to proceed the way I described, unfortunately. You undoubtedly remember this from the American forum – in the main forum this happens even faster (I have some guesses as to why, but it’s rather OT here).
Anyway, the discussion you propose can be difficult for a different reason too. See, I can only discuss this interview, since I’ve never been to a Gil event. And you can only discuss Gil events, since you still haven’t seen the interview (shame on you ). Imagine other “one-sided” people like us here. The conversation is going to be like a double-date, where couples talk over each other.
Why don’t we stick to the video and what transpired in that interview instead? It’s surely easier for you to watch a 1-hour video than for me to go to a 24-hour DJ set. Much cheaper too. And I also suspect that this is the discussion Tina had in mind when she started this thread.

with Experience i can tell you 5000USD for an all night set plus transportation & hospitality (venue & production cost is seperate, ofcourse!)

^ kinda.. Gil's first reason for even going solo was because he wanted to offer an experience that was cheaper and sorry to say he is very expensive, a trust safari-an who hasn't worked a day of labor his whole life unless you count being a baba as labor..
The venue he will only allow us to use per selfish reasons takes $35 per head, including car parking without all the other charges that come with it.. Gil knows this and doesn't care, so don't even try to pass off to your lizzard it's a fair price when it's not following the redefining of the trance dance experience..The venue sucks us dry and did me say, Gil doesn't care? $17000 for 18 hours, are you seriously saying this good?
It's in your best interest to stop speaking on the value of this event or your lizzard will get into your prices..Me has heard "I'm trying to make living" just about 3 times too much.. Don't now make excuses for someone who will not even play your own music, me can even tell you why..
Enough has been said about money so can we please evolve to more important things.. Me go watch thee movie now
