Basilisk speaks the truth. And those pics look pretty sad I must say. It looks like a sweaty sausage fest. Disappointing place for such names. But from what Iv gathered he is providing proper deco this time. Maybe he is paying attention. |

basil - first of all never give up 
i was disappointed with my local scene for a few years after coming back from abroad and went to about 3-4 parties a year, i kept thinking what was wrong in my opinion and spoke with organizers and friends - these opinions finally caught up and i started seeing more and more parties (and music in general) that fitted my taste, apparently there were others who thought as i did, but didnt know that there's a demand for such parties/ambiance, that its all turned big and commercial and thats what the people want - well i can tell you that in the past 4 years, my local scene has completely changed, even the bigger events started putting more effort on the whole thing rather than just the music (artists) - so from 3-4 parties a year it became at least 2 per month now i have a problem that there are too many things that fit my taste and i have to choose from
now about djing - i've listened to a few of your sets and dont you dare give that up! you've really got talent not to mention knowledge and intelligence picking the tracks - i'd love to hear some more of your picks |

I think the promoter does like progressive psy quite a bit. He seems to have money to throw around. I would imagine he's lost more than he has made but it is hard to say. Throwing many parties in a short period of time is not as great as throwing killer, full blown events at less frequency. I would like to see much more effort put into deco, and a more psychedelic vibe overall. It cheapens the experience of seeing these great acts to have no effort put into the event other than a sound system. If Vibrasphere is doing sets in Israel then hopefully we will be lucky enough to enjoy what is promised. |

Hello there
I thought the Isratrance forum was long dead but I guess some people are still using it. Now as MR.Sidra complains here and tries to count how much money the event made (although its non of his business) and he thinks if an artist told him the fee (which he lowered on purpose) and its also non of his business, he can figure all of it. So if the events make so much money why dont you try to throw parties and brings those artists to Canada? Be my guest and I will be the first to come but as I see its not the case so at least give some respect to people who do try their best to bring world class artist to Toronto.
In the past 2 years I brought here artist like Flowjob, U-recken, Antix, Weekend Heores, The delta, Tetrameth, Symphonix etc. Do you think you could here those artist in Toronto any other way? I dont think so as the other collectives concentrate more on some dark psychedelic music with cheap dj from maximum USA.
Do you know how much it costs to book a really famous artist? The flights? The hospitality and all around? Do you know how much cost rent the venue and keep it running till 6 am?
Probably you don't, because if you knew you could easily figured out that I lost much more money that i made.. although again, its none of your business.
And finally, I came from a country were psy music is very evolved (Born and Raised by Israeli desert, 3rd empire Moksha etc)and for me the most important part is the music and the artist. For the last 7 of my events I am using a quality sound guy with a full powerfull sound system that I pay him lots of money to set up and rent and occasionally used the services of Organic Family crew and Neuromantix (which will be in Vibrasphere show) for Deco.
My intent was always just to bring those amazing artitst here so people can enjoy their music as much as me and my friends do and by the growing number of people who are comming and showing their appriciation for what I am doing I know I am on the right track. Sure, there always will be one or two "winy" complainers that would say that the sound was too loud or some other crap but it is their personal opinion and when i see another 199 people saying that they never been to such an amazing party I know the party rocked.
I always try to invest more into deco and other stuff but sometimes there are limitation of the budget and to you attention Sidra, I do work and I am married so there is a limit to how much I can spend.
Anyhow, I hope that however will come to hear Rickard Vibrasphere legendery set will have the best time of their lives as its really rare to hear him "IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD"  Chao

How did the Vibrasphere event go? I see lots of comments about it being the most amazing party ever... but I've also heard it was pure gangster before 2am!
