sad to hear, but as someone mentioned before, sadly not the first time.

if you really want to think about legal actions, here is an address which worked in the past:

George Y. Yiangou & Co
12 Kennedy Av. / Kennedy Business Center, 2nd Floor
P.O. Box 24 293
1073 Nicosia (Cyprus)
Greece
fon: 00357 22 76 76 30
fax: 00357 22 76 0918, 00357 22 76 3370
EMail: gyiangou@yiangou.com.cy

sure i could not give any guarantee and it took a while until this company fixed the problem other people had a while ago.

but but in the end i hope that it helps to solve the problem.

Hey bro,me being from Cyprus i can say this contact wont help one bit....i just dont see a Cypriot laywer taking on on Greek Lawyers and be succesfull onit..
I am though very curious to hear how they helped you out bfr..
Best thing to do in these kind of situations imo is to know 'who' you are doing bussines with..

I know I am picking up an old thread, but so be it...

I am one of the owners of One Foot Groove in South Africa. We started about a year ago and released our first album (NoiseAnomalie's "Deep in the Bushes") in August.

It was to be distributed by ZMA. He sent our first sales statement with completely incorrect numbers, charging us fees that were in direct conflict with our contract. We then corrected these errors.

He has since not sent us ONE statement. He has not replied to ONE email. He is NEVER on msn. His offices have not answered ONE phonecall. We have not seen a cent on any of the albums in his possetion. We know he has sold a significant number due to us keeping track of the sales via the various websites the album is available on.

We borrowed cash in order to start our company and release an album we were proud of, and he has stolen every single cent! I would sue if I had a better idea of wether or not it would be worth it! We're based in South Africa and it could get a bit expensive. I'm merely waiting to come up with the cash to get to Europe to find him. Like I said, as far as we can see, he's fallen of the edge of the world.

Iraklis Ntregkas (DJ Hercules) is an unprofessional, dishonest cretin of a human being who deserves his testicles to be eaten off by a rabid rat.

If any of you reading this own music shops, online or in the RW, please, please, please do not stock our CD for him. If anybody has any information relating to sales figues of our album, please send it through so we can estimate how much money he has stolen from us.

If anybody wishes to share thoughts with me in private, feel free to contact me at nick@onefootgroove.co.za.

I found out about this right after buying a bunch of ZMA-distro'd releases...

Fuck. I feel cheated. That money was for the ARTISTS! And the people who actually DID THE WORK.

I hope this all gets worked out... I hope we can stamp this shit out before it gets out of control.

How can something like this happen anyway? You'd think if enough people are fucked over, they'd all leave ZMA. Where would Hercules be without anything to release?

What seems unbelievable to me is...there is actually people still willing to distribute with him

BOYCOTT ZMA!!!

on a side note, I bought VA-First Oracle (Night Oracle recs), then saw the little logo on the back... ZMA!!!

Dammit. Well, they don't advertise who distributes the stuff, on Psyshop...

Otherwise I would have gone straight to Psytour himself and got a copy from him...

At least that way I know my money actually got to the artists.           .

Ahh this so wrong!

Its seems I "just" bought one zma-affiliated release... but where can I buy the release that they "distributed" with out giving money to those assholes? Cus there are a few (of the vertigo releases) I have been meaning to buy for while, but luckily didn't got around to yet!

Drosophila, try the Vertigo site, theres a contact there for Nowhereman, who can probably hook you up.

If you're ever looking for Psybertribe releases, there will be digital downloads soon, so I hear. Thats another ZMA-fucked-over label. Nikon, the label head, has had a ton of grief from this...

Maybe we should start a list of ZMA-distributed labels.

Thanks mate, I'll try that next month when there will be some money on my account!

I was thinking the same with a list cus, I don't feel like giving more money to those creeps! I really feel bad for all those labels and artist I have seen on the zma page

ED: I'm going to quote the first post on psynews as well, the word needs to be spread!

40k€?
seems like a lot

sue him, split the revenue with the lawyer. even if it takes some years, you will eventually get it and he will have to pay.
