. cool concept as it works perfectly with the rebellious concept.

quit sugarcoating and putting a cherry on top of what is a essentially a turd of a concept .. the music , imho very average dark psy , nothing special ..

take care

never did say the message was anything original... the concept itself was flogged to death in the 90s. as a psytrance live set it was something new as opposed to boom-shankar-mahadeva, LSD will free your mind or outer space alien orgies ... I'm sure you of all people would appreciate something like that ...

go listen to the live-set! its one of the few unique nighttime ones out there.

as for originality in terms of composition, I'll wait for an answer as I related more to the metal bits.

curious now mk... ... what do you think of Xyla's sound ?

hi yidam , my comment was about the concept , much less the music , coz dance music will never ever be able to put across these political and imo crappy rage filled messages to the public in any sort of way that will make a difference ..unhappy with the world ? want to put a message out ? .. write a song dammit .. wtf is a cnn sample going to do ? pfff.

xyla album was ok .. im not into hardcore tho , so didn't give it a very good listen .. shame she isn't doing psytrance anymore .. some of her earlier ones were pretty good if i remember well .

it's been a while since I heard a song with words worth listening to... thats the price you pay growing up listening to the oldies. rap made sense for a while. reggae remains timeless. my bitter conclusion is that whatever had to be said was said decades ago. poetry within music doesn't seem to take the form of words anymore. (i'd be thrilled to be ousted from that point of view though!)

anyway, vegetal's live set didn't really wake me up as the concept makes you believe. it was more rage inducing ... never headbanged to psy but it just came naturally with vegetal. someone shouted 'storm the gates'... people were screaming with their fists in the air. at the time it didn't really matter what we were all raving on about... all i remember is that i havnt seen psytrance do that to a floor. it was a different dance!

asked about xyla because the situation is very similar. don't listen to EBM so the album was a bit much for home... but her live set thrown into the psy-trance experience is just mindblowing. this genre is close-minded enough... why ignore the radicals?

..exactly .. its dance music damnit .. boom tss boom tss .. theres no way anyone can put a `message` in it .. its for for dancing .. rage filled pump ya fists / sway slowly /do the moonwalk /trip the light fantastic ..whatever ..its just dance music .. these political themes make no sense here and certainly don't make someone a `radical` .. much as they`d like to believe .. its just silly .. no one .. and i mean no one .. right from ur hardcore trancer dreadlocked dude to my old granny can possibly make out any `message` in this music ..

im with u on the rest ..reggae ownz

peace

I just happened to listen to this album and as I suggested hearing political voice samples it's discussed over the Internet so here is this topic...
I'm with Pavel speaking about the music part: compositions and sound overall reminded me a lot of Skazi or Hyper Frequencies and his projects. It's not bad or whatever, not just my sort of tea.
Speaking about political samples - it's not bad either, I believe the guys that Vegetal sampled are good orators. Concerning the views, I'm with Vegetal, the only problem is that free-thinkers will never know the whole truth, probably because there isn't any.
Also good example for you listeners of electronic music with political, anti-globalism and coherent topics is Australian David Thrussell aka Snog aka Black Lung. This man really deserves attention of those who are not familiar with his stuff.           last.fm/user/jyxx/
