"The most violent element in society is ignorance." - Emma Goldman

In my humble opinion, the debut album from Swedish producer Peter Ebkar is easily one of the most important psy trance releases of the year. And not just for the music. Right away from the cover art and the title, you can see this is a man on mission to deliver a powerful message. Time again to open your eyes, not just your ears. Of course, the music is designed to carry that same message, and does so delivering some of the best production quality I've yet to hear out of Vegetal. If I've ever heard true metal/punk spirit in a psy trance release, this is it. And without the over use of guitars, I might add! The man's background influences really come through. The sound itself is powerfully bassy, with driving overdistorted synth lines, crazy breaks, hints of both dark and beautiful melodies, and thought-provoking sampling. If you like your music deep, on more than one level... If you like your music aggressive, on more than one level... If you like your music intelligent, on more than one level... This is the release for you. Highly recommended.

Hehehe, and again the Bush reference. Really, for people who think they're so smart they can see all the flaws in the world they still act quite dumb. As if Bush is the problem... hahaha that makes me laugh. It just made my day. Anyway, pretty good if you like the style, but all the 'world improving' messages should be left out of trance. If I want that I'll listen to metal or punk, thank you very much. Trance is partymusic foremost and I for one would like to keep it that way. This way there's always a genre you can fall back to if you just want to step away from the real world for a little while. That said, still pretty solid if you like the style.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

The moniker Trance includes all subgenres, regardless.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

well, maybe its "partymusic" for you, but for many others its more than just that... it encompasses a lifestyle and an ideology.
I applaud Vegetal for taking the music to another level with his political message.
I can comment more once i've heard the album

It would be interesting is someone post the samples of the tracks, if they have a message I'd like to know it. Or maybe I'm just a sample addicted...

I mean what is said, like that: "yankee swastica, burn, baby, burn..." on the "bare knuckles of hate" sound sample you posted.
Thanks anyway.

Peter you know that I stand more than just a little behind your project and your way of thinking. I love this cd, it surely is a propaganda pearl

Can you take a culture that (for the most part anyway) revolves around drugs seriously?
Do you really think people @ parties are dancing to that music and paying attention to samples or even songtitles? Who cares about political statements in trance? The fun of trance is just that it's not bounded by these things. It's partymusic and can be enjoyed by anyone. I mean, if we take this step to be politically aware then what's next? Do we kick people that think differently? Take the anti-Bush thing, I don't agree with that at all. What're you gonna do about that? Can't I listen to psytrance anymore?

Oh yes, and if we start to be so 'world-aware' then please put some thought into it. A title like 'No Gods No Leaders No Problem' might work on a 14 year old, but it sounds to me like short-end thinking. Someone who stands behind this is not seeing the big picture at all. And I hope most of you have enough sense so I don't have to explain this to you.

I'll say it again: As an album this is pretty good if you like the style. Nothing wrong with that. But I for one won't buy it because I can't stand beside something I don't believe in (ie the message behind this all).          "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
