i remember counting at least 5 floating corpses in that filthy water in about 30 mins sitting by the ghaat , disgusting dirty place for deluded hippies and stupid religious folk ..

Yeaa...the corpse bit is true..
Plus it's not the kinda place someone lookin for shanti can stay for more than a day! take a boatride in the mornin by sunrise, hook up somethin to smoke, watch the aarti after sunset...which will be so long you wudn't be able to sit through it...eat good food...cuz tht's a plus point anywhere in U.P. --- awesome North Indian cuisine!
Head for the hills the next morning!
