hey bro!!wassup..so ur coming to varanasi..i am from varanasi..though currently i am not in varanasi but i think i can come to be your help.msg me abt anything and ill get back to you.

baba, heard alot abt varanasi, that its a shanti place and beautiful. since i have 2 weeks left 2 go, i wanted to know if it would make sense to go there in summer. coz then ill be heading.

yea man.. its a place to be and esp by the sides of all ghats its awesome.. if u can happen to get to the cross side of ganges river and be there its just a bliss...
the mornings at Varanasi by the Ganges is just like to heavens' on earth.. u have a good one..

theres couple nice Israeli run joints , good food .... apart from that its plain filthy .. highly unrecommended

It's sad if some people think that the only plus point of one of the most intense places in India is a couple of shady Israeli food joints. What's so great about that..even Paharganj has those!
Anyways, I think Benaras needs more time to grow on you. Stay at Assi Ghat, it's the last ghat and has the best view from whichever point you're at... and watch the sunset by yourself, a lot of the filth that is a part of India will melt away..

what about the filth in the river that may let out a stink ...why not be alone in the hills for the sunset and let india melt into the night to rise again pure n serene the next morn ???

That's reason enuff for it 2 b on ne traveller's itenerary!
