Seminal DJ and producer John “00” Fleming has signed a new record deal with the hugely successful Euphoria/MOS brand. John has already clocked up sales of almost a million albums with his previous White Label Euphoria album series, the last of which was released in 2005.

This time sees John "00" Fleming mixing a new cutting edge concept 'Psy Trance Euphoria', reflecting the current power of the Psy-Trance genre globally.

Last year Psy-Trance pulled in worldwide festival audiences in their millions. Fiercely underground, it has shied away from commercial pressures, making it one of the most popular and well-regarded sub-genres of electronic music. While the album is merely Fleming’s take on the genre, John was also inspired to record his own artist album (under the guise of OO.db with fellow artist The Digital Blonde) of tracks specifically inspired by and for the scene, and combining it with the double DJ mix CD to make it a 3 CD concept.

The 00.db artist album features exclusive tracks and remix collaborations with the likes of Israel's top psy trance DJ, Asterix. The DJ-mixed discs feature the top names from the genre, with tracks and mixes from Infected Mushroom, Ace Ventura, Freq, Tristan, Dag, Vibrasphere, Astral Projection, Fatali, Earthling, Xerox & Illumination, and many more.

John “00” Fleming says:
“Over the three CDs I want people to experience the journey through the Progressive elements of Psy and Morning Psy that I love dearly. The third CD is an extra treat of my own productions with The Digital Blonde under our 00.db guise. It’s the first time in history an artist album has been linked together with a mix compilation, so I’m very excited to be a part of this.”

John “00” Fleming's Management, Seven Webster of 7pm says:
"This will be the first time a DJ has packaged an artist album along with a double mix CD and we are interested to see how people react to it. DJ artist albums have always proved hard to sell but we believe this all round package is not only strong musically but is an exciting representation of a scene that has been steadily building over the last few years. That coupled with the Euphoria/MOS and John Fleming brands should make for a really strong all round package."

This is not the first time a cheesy club dj has turned his hand to cashing in on the scene....... don't see him playing the boom or Vuuv.....or any descent Psy-trance party... sound like sour grapes...... it sure is and John you know why......

Not sure why you dislike John, but he's never been anything but nice and respectful to me. Not sure you know this, but he gave you a specific thank you in the liner notes.

LOL at the hypocrites on this forum.
On one hand you bash John for being a sellout but on the other hand you praise and hype the most cheesy shitty full on being produced out there.

Besides, look at the tracklist. For being a MoS compilation there sure aren't that many commercial tracks. Lots of nice and interesting tunes by Vibrasphere, Human Blue, Wizzy Noise
The average israeli compilation is packed with dozens of more cheddar tracks.

And the 00.dB album is great. It's totally unique. Dark, driving and without falling any clichés.
Definetly the most interesting compilation release of this spring.

The compilatio

Since when has John 00 been a cheesy DJ? He's been respected all his career for having a serious take on dance music. Greg you have a very short memory, John ran a label with the original Transient boss Russell Coultart and in the early 90's was fully supporting Goa Trance and playing at the parties, he was constantly in the Transient offices hunting for music (Though you where based in a different office). He even made tracks with Astral Projection and Russell back then. So an education to many people, John has been involved with this scene for nearly 20 years an its nothing new to him

We can't hide the fact that Psy is sometimes becoming a little commercial and generic these days, but look at this Euphoria album, John has taken a more serious approach as you can see by the tracklisting. Remember it's John's personal take on this scene.

Greg also look at my name, perhaps it rings some bells?

oh yeah greg, don't be childish and have a personal attack on John, after all you where going to release the 00.db album? Don't put personal issues between a well respected figure in the Trance world.

yes glenn your right I was being childish, which I am sorry about, I don't usually conduct myself in those ways but I was very pissed off at him for acting (IMHO) in such a bad manner. Unfortunately Glenn I would have to disagree with quite a lot of what you say though, but obviously this is not the right place to do it..... I was happy to be releasing his music, although it didn't fit my usual release schedule, I like john and thought of him as very honest and worth putting some effort into. Unfortunately I was proved wrong and the artwork that I have had produced for the album is something I have to pay for. Not to mention my designer whom he asked to make a logo for then never got in touch with him again as he didn't like it(do you think he might need paying or do you think that he works for free?). And all the work that I have put into letting different promoters know that we will be including him in the future Transient parties....I could on......
The thing is Glenn John has been doing an amazing job as a club dj in a very commerical scene for many years, and I do respect him for that, but as far as Psy trance, the main reaction I have been getting from promoters is that he plays commerical cheesy stuff( like astral projection) and does not fit into their idea of good music. I'm sure there is still a lot of people that love his music, and fair play, but Glenn (and if this is Glenn from X transient) when did you ever go to a trance party?. Lets be serious mate, you hated Psy Trance, you were always into r and b or something...... you were never in Tyssen street.....but hey...... I'm being childish again.

I just thought if John and his management can act like complete c*nts then I'm sure not bothered if people think I'm childish,

So I'm sure you will react to this message and many more will tell me I'm a hypocrite, but quite frankly I don't care anymore...... buy my albums don't buy my albums, but I know one thing, I have a working relationship with my acts that demands trust and honesty and I am proud to say I don't shaft people for money.....

Hi Greg,

There are two sides to every story and you have decided to make this public. I know John's management very well, there is a reason why John has been so successful because he has a professional team behind him. The first rule in business is to do paperwork, sign contracts etc. You did none of this and steamed ahead completely unknown to his management setting your own release dates etc, you could have severely damaged the current release of this Ministry release. The likes of HMV, Virgin etc could have pulled the Euphoria release from the shops, thats how bad you could have made things. They where shocked you did this without talking to them OR even signing a contract, crazy?!
All releases have to be planned, especially release dates etc. His management company work with, Sasha, Carl Cox, Digweed, Bilasco, Chris coo and even Robbie Williams! They know their stuff and you should have listened to them.

Anyway, still no reason to slate John here on a forum, not very professional at all
Naughty beatle
