The MP3-copy topics in this forum led me to examine my conflicts about this issue.
As an artist & label owner, i switch opinions about it, according to the roll i perform.
As Analog Pussy i believe music should be free. I put my feelings in the music.
So how much cost happiness or Pain?
When i release a track it is no longer my own. It belongs to the people who care to listen to it.
As AP Records i disagree with myself. The label’s only income is CD sales. Label has expenses, and needs to pay other artists too.
i realize now, Music copy is neither good or bad. It is simply there and is a part of the modern world.
The question is what do i DO about this. And i decided to be an active part of it.
Here’s my first step – sharing my favorite unreleased track, full length and quality from my next album (no release date yet)
You can download it and copy it to whomever you like with a personal permission from me !

Great thinking man !
Many artists think they can bring a crowd , they making good music , they big shots and they got to get payed .... but guess what guys u not the second Mozart (well most of u arent) although i appreicate ur trying , Britney spears brings a corwd too , although i think people who buy her releases, most of them are young and incompitnent.
But it doesnt mean that everyone should stop buying cd's...
hey u got spare money ? why not get good music in good quality if its released ? especially after u listened to it on mp3 and made sure that u like it

nokey, the music is here to be heard - only - and yet I agree with you that it should be sold in our capitalist nature .....
making 2 styles in that category ? sounds like a bad idea

NokeyAah - i like your idea; creating music for free distribution and music for sales.
Still, Sitting in my studio all these long cold night in Germany, writing music in the moments i was feeling down or joyful or insane -
The last thing i was thinking about was a multi platinum album.
That doesn't mean i want to share the whole album or that I'm not interested in CD sales.
So that's the step i took - instead of complaining about the "Situation", I'm sharing some of my own music
and i am now a player in the game.

promotion perhaps....but it is working....repect to an artist that thinks this way.
jiga's style is not particularly what i love, but if it was...there's no doubt that if there was a choice in a store for me, i would reach out for an Analog Pussy CD and buy it.

I think there last trip in Quebec, Canada was satisfying enough to share there music freely!
If you believe in your music, you shouldn't be afraid about sales.
I don't understand psy artist... do you ever surf Psyshop or Saikosounds??? Your stuff is always backorder damn it! You must always buy in the first week or you're not sure to get the stuff you want!
Don't start RIAA here, we all know they are the bad guys!

i guess I'm not that opened minded as i thought...
Last night i played in Moscow Russia, and some guy comes to my mixer with a mini disk and asks me if he can connect it and record the live show.
i said no.
so if music is free why did i say no?
i don't know !
i still need to find some more answers
