You can`t really compare soulvision to up, it`s like comparing brazilian football to the brazilian ping-pong team nearly a different sport to be honest. Different scale also.
UP was attacked by a well planned gang this year, the crooks knew it was going to be worth investing time there.
I heard of many other sad incidents, but I don`t think it is right to tarnish the up name and brazilians in general.
The next location should be different but gangs move like the current.
This is not confirmed but I heard some issues with security also.
sad but it is still if not one of the best festies ever |

That`s what happens when people worship foreigners just for the sake of being foreigners.
Plus he already has dates set for brazil already, respect in april it seems. And since he erased his post on his blog he can deny he even said it.
Very sad for such an respected dj to say such a thing. |

^ sad, But Put yourself in his place and maybe you'd feel the same too.
In my opinion U.P. is a great place to be, but if such things really happened to him, It's not a very pleasant thing to happen when you are a guest in a foriegn country for festivals.
Let's hope for more security in 2010

but i don't agree with all that andromeda said.. he attacks brazil and the brazilian people.. its not an artist atittude..
anyways, i hope they will fix this security problems in UP 10... |

And to generalize against ALL natives is down right wrong, baring on racism and ignorance really.
They tried to steal my tent in broad daylight and you don`t see me bitching and moaning.
I knew the risks of going to a festival and kept my open. |

i've been many many many times to brazil ...
Never got anything stolen or got rubbed ...
exept of one flipflop while i was in the shower....it got replaced with a 5 size smaler one ...
what a surprise when u got out the shower and suddenly u have 2 different sizes and different color fliflops ...
and i even know now who it was ....!!!!
It was Etay from Etic ...
that was the conversation he had in skype with my lovely gf ...

It wasn't something big or expensiv he stole from me ...
but still this is with out any manners ...
i think its a bummer that u can't even trust the artist anymore who play with you in the Festival ...

I'm not writing here against anyone ....but what andromda is writing i can't realy understand ... for sure its very sad what happend to him ...
and understand that hes pissed off ... but it seems to me a bit overreacted ...
What if this would have happend in Rio at the beach ...would he recommend everyone never go to Rio ?
Its not about hippies or drugged ppl .... its about big crowds in one place ... everywhere things get stolen ... even at Rockconcerts, HipHop parties, Clubs, @ the beach, In the shoppingmal e.t.c. ...
And not only in brazil ...
I think u allways have to keep an eye on your belonings ....even on stage ....sad but true ...
Its realy offend to the brazilian ppl ...
Telling them they're all tiefs and Bandits ...
Not everyone is a thief who goes to brazlian tranceparties ... and i had many great festivls there ...
I think generalising is totaly wrong here ...
I guess its a problem from most of the biig festivals that they can't handle the stealing realy ...
If u have 15000 Ppl in your festival its hard to have a overview on anyone ...
Look at Boom, Fullmoon, VooV, Aurora, Fusion, e,t.c ....
Everywhere things get stolen ... maybe ppl also have to be a bit more carefull with leaving belongings in the tent ...
I'm not speaking here about the lockerroom wich has to be made safe by the organisers ... !!!!

P.S.: i had realy realy great UP this year ... lots of fun ...and meeting great ppl there ...
For sure somethings could have been done in a better way ... but festivals allways improove with time ... and organisers allways will learn from previous editions ...

According to the UP organizers, Andromeda was the most stoned person in the Festival, he lost his belongings twice (and had them returned when he sought them) and hurt himself punching the roof of a truck in a drug/alcohol induced fit. And his live indeed was fake, but it was Andromeda who wanted so. According to them, his set was fueled;
So, I don´t know who is saying the truth, but any festival has its problems. Now I want to know if Andromeda is or not such a troublesome artist as UP organizers are saying he is.
If Andromeda is lying, he must officially ask all the Brazilians forgiveness for calling a whole country a bunch of robbers and vandals out of his ¨trips¨.
