I still like to see that happen before I believe it. Every attempt so far has gone the fullon / psy way. Just look at SEMF in Denmark. And it's even called Scandinavian Electronic Music Festival - Fullon hell all the way and a small Moskito infected 20 people chillout Tent with one stage monitor as a sound system next to the main stage so the little music that could be squeezed out of those monitors was totally drowned in fullon. A disgrace and total lack of respect for anything else that's not Fullon - in my opinion of course.
Show me the organisers that will stay totally objective and make all genres equally represented on a festival. It's Utopia.

Well i think its possible, on the other hand i dont see much full-on comming from these parts so i cant see other objective solution than down prioritising that phenomena. 
Note that we dont need to include ALL genres, or for that sake represent them equally.

Things i personally would like to see on a such festival apart from lots of happy people, tipis and shop's with weird stuff :
Lives:
Jahbo, Mussy Moody, EvsY, Texas Faggot, Bufo, Salakavala, Trold, Derango, Procs, Highpersonic Whomen, Pouskari...
DJ's
Kluster, Anar, Alter Egon, Guiseppe, Tim Duster, Loke... and many more 
...a chill-out with a circus tent hosted by the coziest people + a wide selection of DJ' from all involved countries(tribes)
A huge Turbosound* sound system (I do mean fucking huge)!
+ A smaller one for the chill-out
Nice Deco: Flowers of life
A camping area among trees in beautifull nature!
*or any other appropriate (Nexo, Funktion One)
For being "totally objective" i need at least one co-organiser

Well I also like to have a progressive stage with electro, progresive house and trance.... Unless that's included count me out.
I also like to see more variety in the chillout than only psychill.. give me some lounge, electronica etc.
A true openminded festival need all genres or it's just yet another festival like the rest out there and got nothing to do with really uniting the scene. The scene is more than forest psy and suomi psy. All genres are needed. Nothing less is interesting.
And yes we do indeed need to represent all genres equally in order to call it a real uniting Scandinavian Festival.

Well i dont want a progressive stage, i want progressive trance on the MAIN stage...
But i want to count you out anyway since i see no reason in including: lounge, electronica, electro, progressive house and trance. These genres have, in my oppinio, and no more value for the scene than gabba, hardstyle, terrorcore, ambient, drum n bass, hard house etc. (maybe less).

Tranan, we cant have a unity scando psy fest without a Tranan set.
And PKS needs to play some chill.
- Phase Phour should also represent a hour on the decks.
And if possible, I would love a old school dance with bare feet on the summer grass set with Elysium. Would be fascinating!
Oh, and what about a special performance by Kire-naj? That guy rocks!  A psychedelic festival needs psychedelic music. |

If something is psychedelic or not varies from person to person. I think some progressive house and electro certainly is justified as a psychedelic-style festival, as it's the continuation of the progressive psytrance sound. Acts like Minilogue/Son Kite, Ticon/NDSA, Atmos, True To Nature, Phony Orphants and Flowjob all have lots of elements from progressive house/trance and/or electro, but still maintain influences from the more psychedelic-oriented scene.
Then there is of course also some of the more purely progressive psytrance acts like Human Blue, Vibrasphere, Andromeda, Highpersonic Whomen, Behind Blue Eyes, NASA, Moses and Pythagoraz,
Apart from progressive, there are also other acts I would see at a festival like this, like Hux Flux, Filteria, Tranan/Logic Bomb/Alternate Vision, Orion, Koxbox/Saiko-Pod, Grapes Of Wrath, Jahbo, Alrune, Haltya/PeLinPala, Kiwa, Torakka and Texas Faggot.
DJ's I would like to hear: Anti, Bakke, Peter Didjital, Krell, Raider, NASA, Emok, Banel, Jeppe, Marcus, Damaro, Bes, Jokke, Poke/Preus and Tsekas.

Just an off-topic question inspired by prOfane. Blowfish - Puffed Up is HIGHLY psychedelic. But isn't this album a cross between progressive and psytrance? Or one could say progressive with psychedelic influences? I guess you can say tha same about most suggestions by prOfane - ? |
