This is exactly my view...although I tried to keep it in my mind things where OK until 2003...Tugadelica Partyin ´03 marked the end of an Era in my life(for personal reasons, it was quite a good party actually)...from that point forward I´ve just been keeping the "Mystic" in my heart....
Off course there are exceptions and sometimes we get the luck of going to a magical party...one of those that make you "feel" you´ve experienced something special that will stay with you forever...
The Psy scene in Portugal in no longer underground, no longer you have 4 hours queues to go to a party in the magical "Herdade do Zambujal", to find those faces wich where familiar to you and wich you would always encounter in this mystic gatherings that only some where aware of...
When we would anxiouxly wait for 2 months for a party..the first goodmood party in summer  ....things changed...now its become mainstream, more "banal"...more normal...and so the magic also faded away of course...
This also called for unwanted ppl who just wanted to make a profit out of it, from drug dealers to fucked up party organizers, some who just want to throw a party to afford their addictions....profiting from the newcomers who will go in mass to any event featuring top names such as Skazi etc...
The good guys are still out there...doing their music with love, organizing parties with care and dedication...but even these ones need luck for their events since there will be 1001 diferent factors that will influence WHO will attend the party, who will create the energy, the crowd...
But now we´ve good a bit of everything, from the psy freak to the mitra to the tios, etc.
So what to do? Humm I think we must only accept things the way they are, choose carefully what events to go....and smoke a spliff once in a while, listening to some tunes and remembering the good old days with nostalgia...
One more thing...for me being a mitra is not about the way you dress but the way you behave! I´ve seen Mitras of all forms!  And also some who may appear so but in the end are really PLUR ppl.
The BOOM 04 made me remember what it was all about once again...maybe the same will happen in 06

I've just checked psylosophy records etnarama, and I could'nt avoid having a laugh. A bunch of friends takink the piss and rebeling against the present scene. Not an example, in my opinion, if they do want to be taken seriously, but to be honest, a breath of fresh air. Too agressive in speech, but then again, they're probably just trying to get their point of view across, while burning some sparetime.
There's room for everyone.... even childish and stupid ideas evolve...
And "we" don't use crosses anymore, hehe, don't worry...

i dl some tracks from overhuman, they're related to the psylosophy, and they're the regular dark night sounds. nothing too original, only if you think a "knight rider alike" bass line is 
hope they live to what they preach

i remember those times.. waiting for the full moon for a full moon party... now it's like everyweekend there's at least a party... btw, last one i went was terrible... near azeitao, i saw one of the organizers almost fighting with the person at the "bar"... ptx was cool to hear

Don't you remember the classic series of Knight Rider aka Kit em Potugues com o david hasseldorf, um pontiac q falava, saltava e ajudava a apanhar criminosos lololo(opsss... sorry... that's not english)
if you can remeber the theme music, it had a 303ish bassline wich is can be heard in many goa/psy tracks (not copy, just similar, 16ths notes, halftone changes, etc)

hey... i dont think so about southish portuguese ppl. i know so many cool alentejanos, not people that get into fights, off course there are always the bad apples... but those things happen everywhere, as you know. maybe the party goers are different, i dont know... about setubal i studied there for a long time and i dont really like it that much, but as always, i made very good friends there.

Sy000 i do remember the series it was my fav when i was a kid in "Agora Escolha"... but cant remember the Theme..... I'll try to search it on the net just by curiosity.....
What about vinyl's kinda Hard tekno you know where ???
You are right there are some good and bad apples, but the environment of the parties up north are more healty i believe (i havent been to one in 3 or 4 years) but.......
Setubal and almada rocks, good psy people, but also some very bad apples.. ehehe
were are you from Sy000????
There's not many places were to buy Cd's isn't?

Yes, the parties here in Portugal are not the same as they were some 5 or 6 years ago (or more..), everything has changed, even the music, believe me when I say that at some parties I get tired of listening to the same formulas - sometimes it looks like I'm in a Techno Party.
By the way, from 1 year to now, I only go to Trance parties in the morning, for several reasons, first, because it is for free  and second, because the vibe at morning is more peaceful...
About Madmax, I've never heard of him and not intending to criticize the Tunning Compilation (wisch I think is awful ), I still think is very lame for him to say he is one of greatest DJ's in Portugal and that he has played in the greatest parties...
By the way, he may not have the contacts you guys talk about, if you read the info you see that the compilation is supported by EA Electronics (the company from NFS), so I guess it's up to them entering with the money...
Somebody was talking about Psylosophy, and I have to say that it is a bad example of a bad psy label - of course that reading to these texts, one may look like visiting some Punk Rock website - but I have heard some tracks from them (Delusional, Yantra, Electro Gonorrhea..) and they produce awesome music...
