For me it's all first of all Trance!

Then we're getting to the adjectives which don't represent imo black and white like goa and psytrance as you mentioned here so much. At times I first heard trance - there was simply goa trance which you would call today - but wasn't called goa back then - there were psychedelic tracks and there were progressive trance tracks and melodic trance - I still live by those - except today you have another one - minimal (not progressive or psy as some call it today don't know why tha hell they do it) - that's it.
So basicly today's trance is not so psychedelic as it used to be - today it's more technoish when you hear the slow drum beat - not the fast high-taking sweeps and hihats.

anywayz - all should get back sooner or later :)

i second the thought on hardhouse...
but then again its only really an oppinion

thing is, my oppinion is that hard house is not really 'house'- i prefer to refer to house as beauiful underground music, musical, with soul

I totally agree... there are some very good house productions... not those Vengaboys crap and stuff like that... when you listen to some "chic" house music, youŽll realise that thereŽs a hell of an influence of house on some progressive tracks... specially on the house groove...

Alegria played here in Brazil last weekend and...man... it was 90% house and 10% trance only...

but when weŽre talking about the house influence on progressive tracks, then I can tell you that I feel that the soul has been lost somewhere over the rainbow... lol

house is not trance! some producers should stop calling themselves trance producers...
