Trance, a Cultural Movement or only Music?

I think the Trance scene its like wat happened bak in the 60´s with RocknRoll.The gathering of thousands of ppl,psychedelic music,drugs and as the hippies, many ppl takes this as a life style.
Today we dont see ppl gettin together many days in a place for other kind of music. No techno,house,rap,reggae,jazz,blues or even rock n roll makes it happens again.Only trance or a war(hahaha) brings ppl from many countries,in the same place for the same reason today. We have many "Woodstock´s" every month spread around the world. So,to me its a life style, a cultural movement, and thats why i get SICK WHEN I SEE GREED PPL RUINING, wats for me its not oooonly music. Its part of my life, WAT MEANS TRANCE TO U? |

My advice is dont take things too serious man, in the end of the day its just a party and music.
Also dont think that psy is the only music which has its 'cultural' back ground. Just to name a few of other music or tribes, Reggae, Indie Rock, Metal etc... all have their scene, where ppl behave in a certain way. The only major difference is that in psy their are ALOT of drugs going around.
Now Greed from who promoters? they put a lot of time and effort into a party, days even months, for u to enjoy a few hours, shouldnt they get paid for their efforts?

I agree in a way, exept i am sort of a socialist, but, in our days, you cant live without money... it is a fact... unless you have a farm, but i suppose you dont...
it is just music, but with a huge impact on the people, so, i dont know if "just" is a word wich is right to use here...

- First I don't agree with your statement that only trance can bring together people from many countries, you are wrong.
- Then I also don't agree with your WoOdstock example.. There was no Internet that time to promote such an event, hehe.. So I doubt there were that much foreign people there..
But to end not only with negative reactions, i'd say that my own Life Style is to fish around the best in all Life Styles hehe !! Halfcast your Life !

Well, i know the music isnt sooo important for everyone as it is too me. If the music is not good, i dont even go out from my home. Some ppl goes to a party for the place, some to take drugs, some to sell drugs, some for the chicks and a zillion other reasons u can imagine. I ONLY GO FOR THE MUSIC! THE MUUUUSIC! IF the music is good i go as far as my money can take me, if its not i stay home. As i said before everyone get to make a money to live. But to make your living from psy is 1 thing, to become rich is other. So its impossible to make comparisons, sometimes u get to be rational, even a "major freak". heheh cu guys |

there's roskilde festival and is not about trance...
and nobody gets rich from the psyscene.... because there are two ways to be rich, having a lot or asking for less, and the persons that you are refering to, dont ask for less
like many say... its all about the people, music can only explain things to you, it doesnt act in anyone's place.. |

Eletronic music is pure culture.
You can search for some books related to that around the net.
Psytrance in my opnion is even more culturalistic than the other styles.

i think that the trance culture is a culture mainly for those who make the music and the partyes ,most of the party gowers this deys just wonts enterteiment !!! and dont take the trance es a wey of life or a deep culture issiu...so i guess its about the music and the vibe meinly .
