hey trance people
i got a question.. as you can see on the topic - those are the things i suppose one need for making trance music
what is more important out of those things to succeed?
for me the priority list looks like this:
1) wish and power
3) talent
4) time and atmosphere
5) equipment (and or software)
what do you think?

1) Talent
2) Wish power
3) lots of "butt" hours, when u just sit and try to do something with your equipment\software
that will be enough
the rest is easy to get if u really want it

with plenty of talent & lack of ambition to learn and to sit on your ass in front of your screen\synth\mixer\etc'.....you will not make anything.......
i saw once BLT's interview in a magazine : 10% of a good track is talent , the rest is pure work (or something like that)
the man is right!

ok, i surely missed imagination and love in my list, those are indeed nessesary to create wild trance..
now im not agree about musical knowledge..
i dont think one need real musical education to produce trance, although its surely cool and helpful if one has it..
about spending lots of hours, well off course..
i am not sure talent takes only 10%.. maybe for BLT so 
who knows.. i guess Etnica is right... destiny, desire.. whatever

You are right about atmosphere...it is so much easier to write music at nightime i think...can create the vibe you want much easier...unless its a fluffy day track of course! |

although i would like everybody to say why they prefer buying "fat basslines" or "everything of 'that artist'" or "all cds of 'that label'" instead of buying talent...
