What we, as a society, encourage more:compromises or innovations?

Who will be benefited the most: The one who create something new and original or something well known and obvious?

What do you think about the labels today? What they encourage, the artists who are original or the artists who are sheeps?

i think it's a matter of character and like every society, you have leaders and there's sheeps, what makes the leaders special is the fact that they are different from the majority , so everyone has his place. of course too many sheeps is bad, so thank you god for giving us shawarma:)           Bottom Line Presents

if you question life in a society in which there is already a leader established in, you just will be laughed at.

i suppose everyone has their place in society.......

things seem to be cyclical for me........

in many things......

in "psychedelic" trance.........you will have different, innovative, new form of music that will appear........then that style will be recreated and played out for a while.........then along comes a another new form of music........

not just in "psychedelic" trance, but in everything......

when things become old.........and played out..........then something new comes along.........and eventually that style will go through the same process.......

so.........in response to your question.........i think it is both..........if something new and innovative comes out and one of the other styles of music is still "in"..........then it would be a little more difficult for that new subgenre of music to flourish.........sometimes new and innovative styles are ahead of themselves and they just are not that appealing and never catch on to the public........

then at other times..........a new style can really catch on to people.........and then can take over a whole scene...........

we have seen it with "Full on" and "dark"..........which for me is basically the same thing.........(but thats another topic)

so it is a bigger risk to try something new and for it to catch on.........but if it works.........WOW!!........you did something NEW!!

and that rocks!!

the safest thing to do........and im not saying it is a bad thing at all..........is produce the style that many people are comfortable and happy with..........and recreate something within that subgenre........

probably the labels that keep changing every few years will be the ones that will benefit the most IMO.......

for instance.........Iboga label.........i have noticed that many of their artists have gone more to "progressive TECH" ..........Freq, liquid soul and ace ventura to name a few......... And i believe the artists and the label have benefited off of this change.........

I sure encourage Iinnovations, hell we need a lot more …

Who will be benefited the most: The one who create something new and original or something well known and obvious?

Imho I think the most obvious will benefit more then the original for sure, it’s heard of, easy to pick, easy to mingle with the others most people find it hard to except something new but deep down inside who is being innovative and tries hard enough to be original will be rewarded later …

What do you think about the labels today? What they encourage, the artists who are original or the artists who are sheep?

Labels are individuals like everybody else so I guess every label has its own motive but yes there are labels that encourage originality

We encourage innovation and originality or no compilations !

I believe with all my heart that most of the labels seek for sheep. originality will not sell cds.
Everyone will benefit from originality, check out what Classical Mushroom, Twisted and Lone Deranger did with their fresh and new ideas.
I dont think that superpsysounds 19 doing the same things

society as a whole or at least the mainstream encourge more sheep like beaviour, for sure, and as far as labels goes, 80 % of t labels out there r looking for sheeps, send them something original, or diffrent ,they dont know how to take it . and this applies not only to t big labels only, some of t so called underground labels r as closed minded pretty much t same.

I think originality is rarely awarded, since it rarely works to create something original.
Also, its not enough to create it, you also need to explore, develop and use its potential which most people are not able to.

So, even if you come up with something good, which perhaps just needs to be refined a bit, the support for it is lacking.

Also, most importantly, most original stuff is utter crap, which is the big factor here... since its not enough to create something unique, it needs to work as well.. Therefore, originality is rarely awarded.

In regards to labels, I really think it depends on the label. No matter who it is, they will have to make compromises of one sort or the other - At the very least they will need to compromise between what they think will work musicly, and what the artists feels like expressing.
Therefore, you wont find a label which will want to release music just because its original - It has to work you see, else its actually just crap, and worthless too all from anything but a idealistic view.

To me it's better be a ship, than fight all your life for meaningless things and fool yourself when you say "I made a change"...

It's ALL been done before, so new - is the forgotten old...           {0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-{0_o}-
