Hey all..!
Im an x-scandinavian myself...lived a coupple of years in Sweaden...And from all my memories of the mentallity of the region I was supprised to learn that there are ppl there that are true followers of the scene. Well Hux-Flux really bakes my nudel!!!
So anyway... just glad that there are some of u...

yeah... there is no wonder that the scene is small here... I mean we are treated like criminals by the gouverment so everything has to be very underground.. |

that's true.. they come to parties and check everybodys eyes with flashlights.. and most of the time they shut down the party.. It's quite common that they arrest like 30 people and that only about 10 of them have taken drugs and so on.. It's really sad.. they have no level of tolerance. |

This is really sad.
Rave comission damn it!
On one hand... people are doing their job... but on the other - noone comes with the flashlight in their faces when they just want to have a good time!! |

how can u do parties like that? how can you go to a party in this situation? when u know that police WILL come and WILL harass you...
r there any remedies for this?
I just hope that the Israeli Police wont get no funny ideas about forming a rave force as well...

but we still love to dance! so we have to keep on... and when the parties are underground enough the cops don't find us.. One big problem is that clubowners wont hire the clubs for techno events because theyknow that they might lose their right to sell alcohol..
but one good thing is that the media is starting to geton our side now.. erlier they didn't question the rave comission at all.. But some parts of sweden are much better like the south.. but I live in stockholm and here the situation is at its worst.. |

The cops are realy trying to kill the trance scene in malmoe/sweden, a couple a days ago i walked on the street as a normal citizen and the cops drove by, but when they saw me up nŽ close they stopped the car and searched me and i asked why! They thought i looked suspicius! The cops even opened a new Xtc "district" ! There are some people who are fighting back! For an example there are a hiphop gruop called LoopTroop who made the song The Long Arm Of The Law!

Im currently living in Haifa (wich sucks!) and in sweden I lived a while near Stockholm in a suburb called Upplandsbro, then my familly moved south to a small place called Baskemolla wich is kinda neer to malmo (haven got swedish fonts).
I was there from 77 to 87 and from what I remember I cant really say that I miss sweden cause the ppl I remember from there were kinda cold and formal wich I dont like but I dont REALLY know!!
BTW: My sweedish really sucks these days even though I went there to school. Haven practised for a while...
