one trance shop, the best one in town, if you ask me will close it's doors this week, no more recreational record shop 
they will though continue @ thirteenproductions webpage, but it's not the same
sad day for the finnish scene..

Well, when you can buy quality misic from abroad to half the price, you'll di that.. But it's sad to hear... But you at least had one shop, we got NONE psy shops in Norway... HS Records is the nearest one, but they sell more "techno" music!

I dont know how economical it is to try and sell psy-trance CDs to trance heads, I mean, how many ppl actual buy trance CDs in Helsinki?
and this is by no means to imply that the scene there is not good. its very interesting and diverse, but lets face it - very small.
How long do you think U can manage to survive in a market that doesnt sell and has an extremely small crowd?
But Thirteen will continue its work in the organization sector, next weekend (7.6) - OTT release party in Merikaapelihali. welcome!

I strongly disagree... Without the internet, would I have heard about all the groups I listen to today? The answer is no! The more I download, the more CDs I buy... =) (I buy in average one per week!)

well i guess helsinkiers are leechers..
if all the trance fans would actually buy their music i'm sure recreational would have survived..
i'd say our scene's population is something like 1000 to 2000 people..

That`s a good way to get to know new music... Unfortunately, that is also so the ONLY way people get their tracks in Sweden (Not all people ofcourse) but still...
It sucks...

Truthfuly, I dont think that even stopping the MP3 trade will do the trick (in finland). Thirteen has been also the major party organizer in Hki (for big productions, not some uncostly underground forest parties) and apparently they are on a big crossroad whether to continue bringing major artists to Finland. reason? not enough big crowd to justify the price of such production.
For example - the first Halucinogen production attracted around 1500-2000 partygoers. the last one (OTT, Younger Brother and Simon) was a very good one but hasn't even scratched the expence recovery. How long do you think someone can stand to produce such economical flopps (not regarding the quality of the party)?
Unfortunatly, the crowd is not big enough, and add to the fact that on the same day of the Twisted party there were 2 more FREE underground forest parties in the Hki area - well Finnish trance goers, u are simply digging your own cultural grave...and I say this with sorrow, because the finnish crowd is a very groovy crowd indeed!

i really hate the lamers who say that 25€ is too much for a party (even though ott, hallucinogen, younger brother & prometheus all have live sets!!!)
it's sad indeed if thirteen decides to stop organizing these great parties.. then i just better get the fuck out of this lamer town..
