Does it make you stop buying from psyshop?

If your favorite supermarket, which sells only Coca Cola would start selling Pepsi, would you stop buying there?

and what's the problem? the psytrance has always had influences from different genres so there shouldn't be a problem with one house record. it aint killing this scene or persuating anyone to stop listening to psy and start to listen only house. And f.ex. lot's of new progressive releases have very clear influences of house. is that bad too? like should those artists be banned from the scene also.

f.ex. hasn't the other guy of psysex earlier made house? is he evil too? is he ruining this scene because IMO they're making groundbraking psytrance.

this conversation has no point because I guess no one can honestly say that one house cd is gonna wreck the psytrance. Is house music that much better that if I get to hear it I won't listen to psytrance anymore?

if it is, thank you dovla for advice. maybe I'll start listening to house then

I can't believe this discussion has been going on for 5 pages, i guess it really is a touchy issue.
maybe the transcript of this thread should be forwarded to psyshop.

yes but what will they understand from this thread? No matter what they do, they are screwed either way.           Both teams played hard

They are screwed because if they decide to stop selling house music now, people will be mad that they caved in and that they can't buy cd's from multiple genres at the same place anymore.

These people will end up buying less music or they will have to pick which genre they want to support.

Paying shipping twice a month is not a luxury
many people can afford.

But if Psyshop decides to ignore threads like this then they will get people like Dovla and Trip for example boycotting them because they "sold out".

There are a bunch of hardcore people out there who just can't be pleased no matter what happens.

It's a lose-lose situation for them.           Both teams played hard

There is no proportion between the amount of purchases we make on PSYshop and the amount we're all complaining about it.
Prior to this controversial inccident, did Dolva and Trip buy cd's there frequently?

I don't think this is hurting psyshop, so much talk about them can only be good for them. If there was somebody who didn't know about psyshop,- now he/she does for sure.

What does it mean, if nobody likes house music, then nobody will buy it!

But if they have lot's of people buying house then they will make money, and eventually this people will come to know trance and maybe buy a few trance CD's, so everybody would win, or so it seems to me.

been kinda busy lately, but I had lots of time to think...and read the last couple of pages...and my opinion is still the same....what I hate most about some of you here is the way you explain things to me as if I hate house music and as if this is all some anti house thing of mine...first of all...I play chill out sets, in my sets you can hear lots of downbeat and ambient stuff from trance labels but also stuff from labels that are not that connected to our scene, so basicly the stuff that KakoOlalaJwal explained as beeing..second floors...

Ever since I started listening to electronic music I've learned to give each genre a chance and give it a proper listen, I've been going to lots of house, techno and dnb parties and I think I know a lot from all those scenes. I really don't know why I'm saying this coz no matter what I say some of you will always think of this topic as an attack on the house scene, even though I said three times that I don't have anything against it. I listened to everything until I came to a point where I said...trance is the best music style for me and I will get more into that.

Now let me tell you why I think this isn't good for the trance scene. Psyshop also sells house stuff from artists that make trance, like those someone already mentioned (minilouge, NDSA etc.)...personally I don't think that this is such a big issue because if someone buys this stuff first of all it still has a trancey feel to it, even though it is house and secondly...the money from the sale will go to the label that makes trance music and it will help other more important releases...as I'm sure trance is still more important to all label owners. Some people also released house just to make more money, like Simon Posford and Ott...I don't think that their house track was only made for fun..perhaps they were in a money crisis and needed some quick cash to pay up the bills...I also support this...since I know those guys still support trance in general.

But when I see a compilation that is in no possible way connected to the trance scene from a label that doesn't make trance music and doesn't host any artists from our scene...I don't think this is supporting the trance scene at all....this is just supporting psyshop....ok so you think that's ok...maybe it is....but I still think that the guys who opened it should have called the shop differently...coz when you look at psyshop it looks like a specialized shop only for trance music....that's why it's called that way...let's say that this release starts to sell really good...and they bring in a couple more house compils...then they start selling techno music..and it sells really good as well....before you know it we will have another online shop with every release from the electronic music scene...and then maybe they will start getting less and less trance coz it isn't selling good...they are already doing that...I'm finding it difficult to believe that they don't have the new cosma album there AT ALL!! and that album is for me one of the best ones of the year...so what some of you are doing is telling me how I suck with my opinion on house music (even though I said that I don't have anything against it) while no one is saying how psyshop doesn't cover all the trance releases anymore...           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records
