I was very dissappointed to notice this also.... and psytrance scene is losing its identity - but I don't want to talk about this sad issue anyway.

So what about artists that can't be restricted to psytrance?

How about Juno Reactor, Atmos, Union Jack, the various Son Kite projects (Filur,Minilogue), and Tim Schuldt?

None of them make strictly psytrance, should they be punished and discriminated against by your favorite stores because they won't make only the kind of music that you want to hear?

psyshop can sell what they want, they can call them self psyshop, or any name they like.
u don`t like them??? don`t go to their shop or just buy what u want. common people this is way too childish even for me.

Personally i am not too fond of House but i think that people are more likely to switch from House to Psy-Trance than vice-verca. Maybe having a few House titles could attract more people to Trance.
Also, considering the fact that most Trance people see what's new on PSYshop and then download it from elsewhere, it may be something the site needs to do as part of their survival.
In any case, none of us have access to PSYshop's monthly financial figures, it's easy for us to accuse but i'm sure it's not as easy to keep a site like that running long term...
Finally, I would like to agree with what Detox said earliar in the thread about putting it in a seperate section. I think if they did that, it would be a little less annoying for everyone...

what a shame, its even more sad to see the conformists in here who accept anything that happens to the scene, we ourselves destroyed the scene, just look back to these forums when psy is dead...

they always have a reason to accept anything, and then boast of open minds,ok people you're open minded and really cool but we're listening to house and techno instead of PSYCHEDELIC trance...imho psytrance has become just another form of electronic dance music, nothing really spiritual/hippie or special about it, imho thats only a marketing technique so people buy...

first of all thanx.second - yes, psytrance is another form of electronic dance music.

u can say "its more than that, its lifestyle and culture" and i will agree with you. but u have to get that also techno and house have its culture and lifestyle. and i like mix'em all, be it music or lifestyle or drugs.
even country music fans have their funy caws and open air festivals:)

and about your "conformist thing" that u say allready not first time, remember my friend, conformists leads to peace and extremists lead to wars. i choose peace.

I don't think I'm an extrimist... but still - I think the mix of house in trance, hurts trance music evolvement - actually evolves it into more simple and simple minded music than it was originally started from. And don't get me wrong, some house can be 'smart' yea... but the mix of this ain't helping trance and actually puts it closer to house or to techno whichever, while this should be a style of its own.
And this is not the same as mixing country music with rock music, because the outcome of that mix will not be called country or new kind of rock - but trance is called trance still and yet u mix it with house and techno.

So I would suggest: stop, for the love of this scene, calling it evolved psytrance or progressive trance or whatever other thing that suggests about evolvement, and just call it psytrance/house, or psytrance/club or psytrance/techno... whatever - even I still strongly believe that goa trance was not fully evolved - Not into our new age of sound at least - where it could flourish even more.

and if talking about house culture, which is clubs and candy ravers - u get my point anyway - I don't think I ever want to listen to any house in a nature party, sorry if this is clsoed mindness - but this is a true feeling.

I for one don't understand why some of you people tend to explain to us how house is really a great movement....that's not at all the issue here....the issue is that a non trance, chill our goa cd has appeared on psyshop...and I for one still think it's hurting the scene....as for house music or any other music style....respect!           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

Dovle, i cant see why is it bothering you so much?!
dose psyshop is a "main point" in the trance scene?
this is JUST A SHOP...
and probably they need money right no cause no many trance lovers like me and you are buying enoth CDs and for them it means that they need to find more ways to rich ppls pockets....

and why are you so surprised that ppl like house?
i can fined you some chill-out music wich is not on psyshop or related to psychodelia and be pissed off why its not there?

we dont need to be so mad about other styles of music.... just let it be.

this is JUST A SHOP!
