this has been cooking in my mind for a long time... i`d like to hear ppl`s thoughts about this...
when i started to party a few years back . each and every party i went to had great crowd. great atmosphere. everyone was there to have fun and for the music. not for the drugs, not because it was popular, not because it was friday and they had nothing better to do. it was because of the experience, the vibes , in other words it was more spiritual. in the last 3 years trance became bigger than it ever was and parties changed according. only down hill.... ofcourse there r still the small friends parties which r kept quiet. but i realy wnat to know is where is the spirit.... ? can we create the atmposphere from the old days? and if we can, how?
even the music has become far less spiritual than it used to be....think it`s connected?

i`m not saying i sit around and compalin.... i go to parties . and i don`t expect parties to be like the old days. i don`t have high expectations anymore... i just come and enjoy whats there.
but i would like to feel the vibe again. personally in the last summer i was in 4 parties which did have that vibe and they were amazing.
so what i`m asking is what do think makes the vibe happen ?           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

What you need in Israel (and for that matter many other countries) is people that "dare" to do different parties without the same music, artists and DJ's over and over again. Parties where the night is with night music and the morning with morning music and not just one endless 145-150 bpm marathon.

yeah yeah I know it's a longshot

its nothing to do with bpm guys!!!
the artist today(not all)dont making nothing new in the music!
everyone copy the second in here!
ppl start make music for money or for travel in the world, before ppl was make trance cause love!
but today its not like this anymore and its come to the parties also
when i was go to trance parties you was come to the party and see nothing only DUST in the dance floor so first its the music that lost the EMOTION,LOVE,SPIRIT...
and after the parties.
but you have some nice parties today sometime.

to yossi&oran if you dont like the parties today so dont go!cause the parties that was then will never come again!
the generetion now is diferent, ppl come to parties not for dance (not all)they come to make "poza"
(like the artist that want to make "TRANCE FOR...)
they come to make photos(this verry nice, its didnt was in my time)but they dont comunig to dig!!!!
anyway this what we have in the hands and if we like it or not we need to choose if go to paties and try to save this scene or live it like this!
big respect!
eldad.

I have done lot's of parties in Denmark before but it's a lot of work and I rather make music than making parties.... Just because people dont make parties does not mean that they can't have an opinion or suggest new ways ,)

Well that's your opinion and you are in every right to have it... Just one question.. have you ever been to a party where the morning was not 145-150 bpm madness?

It's got nothing to do with beeing good or bad... It got something to do with letting people "calm down" from the nightly experience before they go home (assuming that the party stop quite early as most parties tend to these days). And to give them something a bit different than the normal formular

The issue is that todays party people haven't really experienced much beside fast music from the beginning to the end at the parties. How many parties (beside festivals) have Downtempo/ambient to welcome people (assuming they come before the morning) and how many parties make a build up to a climax these days and then take people down again letting them calm down in the morning when the sun rise? It's a matter of trying to educate a little instead of just "betting" on he sure formular... Many people would properly leave the party early if it was done today but if no one are willing to take the risk to show people that there are other ways then every party will look the same which would be a shame in my opinion.

My 2 cents
Satlanny

elysium...
all i can tell you, and i'm no party expert, i've only been going since this past summer is:
any party that the dj put anything under 144-145 bpm at say 6:00 AM everyone started leaving and the only thing that saved the party was when a new dj came in two hours later and put on 145 bpm music.
so i'm not saying if your wrong or right. but am saying that is what i saw...
a party that starts at 2 AM and ends late in the afternoon deserves an hour or two of calmness. but fact is that the minute people here the music calming down they start to leave, so whats the point?

The point is to educate people Satlanny and to show them different ways. As you point out you have only been parying since this summer. Believe me when I say there's been tons of parties in the past where people did not need ultra fast music all through the party... It can easily be done again It's all up to people being a bit more openminded and for the organisers, Dj's and artists to "dare" do something different. The point is that you're missing out on an party experience that very few have experienced these days.
