as simple as that.

My ritual for listening to a new album is different than my ritual for listening to a new mix by a dj whom I have respect and trust.
With an album, I'm listening with a more critical ear for the gems and the duds or filler tracks.
With a mix by a trusted DJ, I tend to give myself completely to the hour and go with the journey.

Well mostly i listen ambient/chill/dub sounds so i prefer to listen in my headphones (for full details of sounds), in my soundsystem i prefer something more upbeat

I like to listen to my house, cause i have nice place, warm, for chill and relax me a lot, in my car i prefer some upbeat tunes (prog, deep house), in my job i cant listen (unfortunately), outdoor yes a lot...i have always my mp3 on camping/vacations...pure ambient + beautiful nature place = the best.

Basically cleanse your mind first to be able to wholy concentrate on the sonic waves that you are going to digest. To not be distracted by things around you.
