Pleasant environment, some beer or maybe a spliff, friends with similar taste in music. You know when it's a good album when everyone is paying 100% of their attention to the music.

I like to listen to them at home.
Either on my speakers or my headphones..
This is one ritual I never get bored off.

1.- get rid of pottential distractions and interruptions.
- Alone
- Loud speakers
- Some time i roll a joint must of the time a good beer.
- I do other activity like washing dishes it keeps me focused on the music.
- From beginning to end with out pauses.
- At the end I go back and replay what I liked the must.

First on my headphones and if i like a track then on my home speakers on loud volume.
Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons. |

mmm...well, depends...i Usually like to listen the music under effects of a Joint , sober the track just finish too fast(imo) i just pay tooo muchh attention to the whole album, but im more focused on 1 track...
if after the 2:50(or the first drop) the track still don't fit my taste then i just stop listen to it...
if an Album sound so much different from my Actual Set, that's a Plus, make me Look for something "like" dat to keep on the musical Search...
if it's too New or Weird it Usually goes to my Celphone, there i can have more Privacy to listen the tracks while im on my Painting Classes or Sculpture...after that i took it into the test and try to find more Tracks that have similarities, to mix it in a future Event ... |

For me it actually depends,what i should do is to get in the right mode or wait until i am comfortable and feels like listening on a new cd and focus on the sounds , lay down on the bed ,and turn up the volume and listen from the first to the last track,but that is not how i usually do it.
Often i check out very fast ,for like a minute ,just checking out the songs if i like the vibe at all,you can feel it fast if you try like 3-4 songs and just listen some seconds here and there randomly for like a minute.Then i take what i like and listen to it directly and wait with the other stuff that i really did not like directly.
If i know that i like it since before then i just take it from the beginning.
I often listen through my headphones at the computer or i listen through my mp3 player when doing something.Have not been so much monitor playing here lately,feels like i want to do that more.

for the last 2 years it was 99% of all psytrance albums that i checked this way exactly.
But when I buy convincingly sth or get sth from friends than it's mostly a kinda ritual hearing it for the first time.

put the cd into the stereo, then press play and then turn off the volume so no sounds comes out.I dont understand how people acually can play a cd,when the thing is that the only reason to play a cd is to keep your stereo in shape,it is just like a body,it needs training.

i ear it over and over.. in big speakers, in small speakers... i jsut listen to it over and over untill i learn it all lol
then i put it a side and dont listen to it until i rmember... but that way i know the musics well.. from beginning to end xD i like to know every detail of it...
