Anyway it is an honour for thessaloniki's organisers to see ppl from athens to speak with the best words for parties in our city.

Have many friends from Thesaloniki that brainwashed me about parties there and i ve been in 2-3 parties and have great time. I also used to know a George that used to make video art and organise parties but that was many many years ago and i lost email and contact
We have Thesaloniki in our hearts guys .
As for the comment that the psychedelic spirit has gone..< No man its still here, alive but invisible for the people that dont believe >

Sorry guys if I am a bit pecimist (hope I wrote it right) but I think that there is not still Athens trance scene...

I repsect N.High and Moonsun for their efforts but before a couple of years (a long time after the golden years of Varympomph and Alsos Battery etc) that we had 4 or more teams organizing events, and a lot of different style artists.

Also I remeber some killer Sunrise Zone or Cyberfunk events with DOGMA 3000, blue peter, tsuyoshi, Atmos once per month, joti once per month and more others like Tim Schuldt, James Monroe, Man Made Man etc...

The last 2 years I was used to see Skazi Gms Talamasca a lot...

The good events were coming less usual and generaly any kind of events...

This year was the first new years eve without a major event in Athens (and 3 I think in Salonica)

After SDF 2003 the things got worse...

Its political cultural and many reasons for my (always by my opinion.)

But I have more stuff to rember:

SUN Project @ NR6 LIIIIIVVVVVEEEEEEE
X-Dream vs Paras @ the same place
Atmos and James Monroe NyE event @ Rodon
Hallucinogen NYE @ + SODA
Tim schuldt + Bamboo Forest @+ soda
Delta Live!!! @ SILO Piraeus
Skazi, GMS, LOgic Bomb @ U-Matic
Deedrah vs Dino Psaras @ Ct+
Joti vs Wizzy Noise @ +SODA
Psychaos live @ Amnesia
Etnica LIVE @ Loft
and many more to rember...

what about 2005-2007

also some awsome fests :SDF 2002+2003

I am an old member of "psychedelic trance",
31 years old and remember the party at
Alsos, Alimou, etc.

The question is what can we do NOW? Can we revival the party with big names.
A chance is given, by the party of Moonsun
with Kox Box & Absolum.

Is there a club which join the trance life?

I'm bored of getting out clubbing the last
year in Athens. I went at Politexnoypoli, ok
nice but NOT psychedelic music. Also at Vanila but too small. We are in Europe and
don't have a serious club. In Athens, I don't
konow about the other cities.

I don't think I club again.

The last killer party was X-Dream & Xavier
at Gagarin for me. Nice place, big and very
good music.

I didn't experience the golden years (pre 2000) as I was too young......

Anyway, I'm glad with what I get... like a Zen monk told me in Paros.. If you don't like the play on the stage go make one yourself... and that's what I intend to do..
There are so many nice places around Athens that we don't need big clubs and the police probably won't bother anyone there. As soon as I get my sound equipment I plan to organise the MAVRATZAS dance festival (Mavratzas is a hill outside of Megara) where my grandma has a large piece of land and just invite my friends and party for 2 days.

As for the scene in Greece generally, besides the cops... Having lived in the UK and been to a few parties in Belgium, the crowds there are much more educated shanti-shanti people, on the contrary in Greece there's too much Kafrila, prezakides and kamenoi than those places. Israel is also the same.. too much kafrila. I think it's because the music is quite popular both in Greece and Israel and reaches a wider-scope of society rather than UK and Belgium.

On the other hand, in London there are so many squat parties every weekend that all the kafroi go there so as not to pay for the entrance and get cheap drugs... which leaves the decent parties free of them.

my 2 cents!

Since you will mostly invite your friends on this event i guess it will be more like a private party rather than a festival right?

Because if you plan a big festival at Megara even at a private piece of land i guess you will need all the luck you can get.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Yeah man, I just call it Mavratzas dance festival for humour's sake.... although there have been some great parties in Megara/Shinos/Alepohori/Alatias

A private party is always a private party. Guaranteed positive energy. More chances to hear more tracks that you like. And the list goes on..
But a big space with a huge (and please dont only huge but nice-sounded too) system is needed for the true pleasure of our music. (except if you have the money for such equipment for a private party).
But I ll agree with trunksan.. (and the Zen monk).. "if u dont like it make your own.." And I will add, "..and share it with the others", maybe you ll save someone's time

PS.. trunksan: what kind of muzik do u write/play ?           +-+talking with ali3ns around the universe+-+
