I don't really see what this album has to do with psytrance anymore. It's hard to find words to describe this piece of garbage. Horrible! |

He even manages to fuck up the nice melody in that track Vida with (ofcourse) some more horrible vocals... come on ... who wants those anyway??

Yo guys
I know what music u dont like can make u feel, and also a dissapointment from artists that change their style.
But this is just ugly try to keep this on a non personnal level.
this thread isnt a review. |

I agree .. but you know. Thats just the way it is man. And you better be avare... Because if you, Hujaboy turn your back on "psytrance" and deside to make "psydance" both me and many fans will burn you on a cross. But let's defend Hypermoney a bit.
first off.. Yoni Salah has great production skills, no mather if you like the music or not.
Second.. At least he changed his name to a hypercommercial name instead of using his other alias, psydrop. Some acts should do the same (you know who) .. And I respect that.
Third.. Maybe he will return to the "true" psymusic when he has earned enough money? (we all need and want money)
Fourth.. Well, i dont know.
He makes psydance to conquer the global/isrealien hits for kids charts. He is a part of the hidden destruction of our scene.. But it would have happen anyway, so why not just be thankful for the good music that is existing today. Just ignore the bad acts. Stop giving them so much "promotion" as all promotion is good promotion. Let the kids of Isreal adore their new psydance hero's.
Me, i'm gonna put on "Ghreg on Earth" and smile of the fact that today, in 2005, there are still great psytrance beeing produced.
For the bad music.. We can't stop evolution.

I think most of the 'ugly' and personal parts of this thread have been about the cover - and surely the guy must have known he had it coming when he did the photo shoot

Still though, look at people like Simon Posford and Denis Matenda. It is possible to swap between genres and still make great music... just this isn't great music - simple as that. Like you say, it's horses for courses - but that doesn't instantly mean its bad.
Personally anyway, i don't think this is so much 'crap because it's commercial'... more that it's crap because it's erm... crap

Well, i listened 2 a lot of tracks this year and i can say with no doubt, the WORST track of the year is Hypersonic - Vida (Xuxa rmx, hahaahahahahaha). I cant write a full review cause i dont have the guts 2 listen 2 the hole album, sorry.

People here might go carried away a bit...
My 2 cents:
The cover is indeed terrible. About the spelling and lyrics, im not too surprised considering the average israeli's english abilities. Samples are pure cheese, and so are most of the melodies (I blushed here and there out of embarresment). But i love the 80's influences! Those are great in my opinion... Not too psychedelic, true... But sounds good to my earz.
Production is nice! Sometimes a bit simple. But nice.
And most of these tracks are catchy as hell! Good for like 3 parties and then youd get sick off. But still catchy.
Like Zuma... Im addicted to that vocal part now... Is it an original vocal?
In conclusion. Pretty disposable realese. Some tunes to rock the dancefloor and some to sing along while youre driving to the beach. Nothing special...
But still ive heard much worse than this. |
