Sup guys !
One year ago or so i registered here on isratrance and started reading a lot, i even asked about some leads in here. Well i'm slowly getting better in all aspects, but still can't get the leads to sound how i want for sure eheh. I think the problem is when i layer them, i can get nice sounds out of the synths, which i like, but when it comes to layering them i go nuts !
Well i've got a track here with a lead that i really dig, maybe you guys could help me out with it
The lead's intro is @ 1:39 and it enters at 2:05. How can i make a lead to "talk" like that ?
Peace !

Hey man. I'm not really that good with synthesis but here is my go at it :
1) create a detuned saw osc with some chorus
2) create a pitch mod env with like 40% attack
3) use a bandpass filter
4) route an LFO to the filter cutoff at the desired speed

I have some experience with fm8. its a high pitched high res lead. i cannot say exactly how he did in the fm process. But high pitched operators. Modulated pitch with high speed lfo.
I dont usally make this kind of leads so perhaps im not that much of help.

It is a piano type of sound with alot of reverb. Try to find a sampler with piano or clavinet type of sounds. Then change the sample a bit so it is less pianoey..
There are lots of them probably a few free ones as well..
