Hi guy's Vibe Tribe's leads are killers. I noticed that he uses pretty much the same sound designs on every song in melodrama just some small tweakings, maybe I'm wrong.
But anyone know how to recreate those sounds, his strings and leads. I don't want it for copy his sounds but as a beginner would be nice to know how to imitate before emulate. Heared something about legato leads?
What I mean is his sounds in melodrama, liberation, vanilla sky stringadelic etc. And in pretty much every song from melodrama album

hello psypeeps,
how do i make nice "transformer" sounding leads ?
I like Silent Horror's for example. But they sound so controlled, almost like he is scratching and fading on turntables. I don't believe he sits and draws notes and automations using a mouse for 8+ minute songs
...
So what is the technique?
Do i just hit notes on a midi keyboard while twisting knobs?
i know how to synthesize sounds...but what I really want to know is what the actual workflow is to create "transformer" scratching sounds the easy way without turntables and mixer (of course people dont do this, right).

there is not much to explain. you won't get from vangard good quality sound. maybe you can use it to make some effects in the backround but for dominant thing like leads it's just don't good enough, i used to use it as well because it's realy simple to understand it and you can make cool things with it but people have let me know that this plug has shit sound and i should use other things.
after you will use plug with good vst (like sylenh 1 for example) you will understand the difference.
nobody realy use vangard. see what people wrote at this forum lately. most people here use sylenth1 or zebra i think. offcousre virus ti, nord lead or any other good synthisizer will be the best. |

the last 18 months im here i heard nothing bad about vanguard...
and... i also use zebra2

i'm started create music almost 1 year ago. which is nothing. i still used vangard half year ago. i couldn't tell at this time what is a good sound. i couldn't tell at that time that the sound that i make in vangard is not good enough if i want to be pro. vangard is an old vst that easy to use but it's not enough. today i undersatnd that. sylenth is also easy to use and everything in it is much better than vangard.every sound that you will do in bangard will sound better on sylenth. but it's not about sylenth. it's just an example. vangard just not good enough. i stoped use it because i have listened to people with much experience than me and i'm happy i did so. |
