Warrior - it depends on the sound. Very occasionally do I shape the sound a bit with EQ before the signal goes into my FX units (eg - phaser/chorus might make things sound rather weird if the initial sound has a lot of low end in it). So in a case like that, I would eq out the low end and anything else that sounds disturbing, and only then pass it on to chorus/phaser.
Most of the time though, I have my EQ right at the end, and then have my reverb setup as a send. In this way I make sure that there are no unwanted lows in the signal going to the reverb unit. However, Reverb's like TrueVerb also have an EQ inbuilt, where I cut the lows some more, just incase. |

hellow
maybe somebody can help me out.. what vsti's do you recommend to make some ambient/dub pads and background sounds?
any sample cd recommendations also will be aprechiated.

ok. i think you should look into linplug sophistry for ambient pads and textures, besides the more common spectrasonics atmosphere.Also the controversial rompler from refx Nexus, has in fact some nice sounds specially if u get the perpetual motion expansion. as i said is a rompler so the ability to modify the sounds is compromised. but the sounds are really good as they are.

can someone give me a good hint about making such sounds with a virus b oder vanguard ?!

hmm...I think this should be possible with both 
main thing is a saw wave, hipass filter and a big reverb...maybe also some distortion
that should give a good start in that direction...the rest adjust to your liking
