D.H.P Sorry for the misjugment about 300hz eqin, i tried it with a parametric eq and it does take most of the mud away, tight filter envelopes keeps 450-900hz clean also.

usually a notch in 150hz -3dbs takes a way a hum resonance, a wideish -3db notch @ 50hz and 80hz to remove any rumble and rez to add clarity

quadrafuzz somtimes work but 75% of the time it doesnt for me

hipassed @40hz

yeah sylenth is good mate, yeh i saw the tutorial on dance midi files web site, i cant say i like using waves C4 on the channel works for me tho, comsumes all of my headroom

Yeah, I don't use waves plugins (too expensive) and I don't like that he didn't explain the settings on the compressor but said to use the preset. Other than that, one of the best psy bass tutorials out there.

whats the lowest note you lot roll your basslines , im addicted to real low at the moment f0.

i know this would cancel out the fundimentle freqency after hipassing @40hz but she sounds so smooth @ F0.

How many speakers (or even P.A.s) do you think are capable of properly reproducing 21.83 Hz? Go an Octave up mate, F1 is not very low, but its lower than a lot of stuff that gets released.
C1 is the lowest I've gone in tunes and I do sometimes high pass slightly higher than 33Hz, but I don't use a seep high pass filter so although the sub gets tamed (if I get it right), there are the harmonics that make the bass sound phat enough.

yes, osc's often can't handle very fast deep notes. doesen't mean u have to start from audio material. just bounce some bars of your bassline and have a look at the audio files. it depends on the synth and settings how stable the waveforms are. maybe it's better to make cuts/fade outs, rearrange or load into a sampler. with sample-based synths like trilogy it's not necessary.

I haven't tried that yet but it is definitely in my to do list.. I was wondering though, is it a good idea to sample it with a little amount of cutoff and some amount of envelope in and then apply the rest in the sampler ?
