Hey Alias!
Thanks a lot, it really was Quadrafuzz that was missing..
I'm pretty happy with it now, but if anyone still has recommendations, please let me know!
Here it is:

Thx to Boobytrip & Fuzzikitten, you two helped me a lot to get the right psy bass sound.
I've only one question left: Is there a special thing about getting the bassline warm and round (especially for fonky basslines)? I don't know, sometimes I get it and sometimes not, but I can't tell what's the factor that makes this sound.
By the way, I use Pentagon I & Absynth 3 for my basslines.
Muchos saludos |

Hello!
How can i make this sharp bass sound?
http://www.driveway.com/pepxe09387
A synth, a quadrafuzz, and some EQ, but i have problems with pitch (i think: A) and the right EQ preset.
And every time, when i turn off all sounds exept the bassline (k+b), the pitch of the bass sound goes up some %, or i hear the higher frequencies better...??
Thx, mailto: ph234ky@gmail.com |

For 'warm'n'round' I tend to use Maxxbass or Rbass, adds nice harmonics to bassline.
But if sometimes you get it and sometimes not, the odds are it's in your EQing. Go back to a case where you've 'got it' and try fiddling with your EQ points until that desired warm/round aspect disappears. That should give you a lot of insight about what frequencies make up your 'warm and round'. |

ok....my turn to gather some knowledge from you folks...
this is my stuff:
http://www.mediafire.com/?fzhldzyyzhu
well, i been doing my bass with tau pro, mostly cause i managed to find a reasonable sound from it, and was too lazy to move on...
im getting better at sound designing with synth, recently aiming at making tunes with the less "presets searching" possible, doing alot of presets myself on albino...but everytime i try to make a good bass, i always end up giving up and turning back to tau pro with my already pre made preset...
what im looking for, is a more galloping(?) sound, more like Logics ESM and such...the thing is...im on Live, and dont plan on using logic anytime soon (side note, im on pc, thats why =) ), i see my bass right now more like a donkey beeing spanked while climbing a hill...really tired...
if anyone could guide me with some constructive advices reaching better results, a more breath taking bass line sound, i would appreciate it...
peace out!

A lot of the gallop feel comes from the note lengths. Make sure the notes aren't a full 16th, something shorter. Fiddle around and see how it changes the feel of the bass. |
